Rafael wanted me to send you a message to thank you for the warm
welcome he felt while he was here. "Great time .. good
community...great people..." He felt very welcome, and was very
pleased with the level of commitment to tango of our community.
The exercises we adapted from the time Rafael as here are working
wonders - we'll continue them before every class. Tonight -cross-foot
fun! Thursday 8:00pm classes: if you come to this class, prepare to be
challenged and a little frustrated. Sometimes it's good for you! That
goes for the Leader's Technique class at 7:00 too.
Think you need a little more personal attention, but can't afford
private lessons just now? Try the Saturday morning lessons at 10:00AM.
Very in-depth lessons, lots of individual attention.
Tuesday night parties - we're tempted to go outside. We're also
tempted to play more Canyengue. One of these two will surely happen!
9:30PM 3142 1st Ave S.
Coming up - May 13th. Another follower's workshop, not on the weekend,
per request! 7:00-8:30PM, 3142 1st Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55408
We'll work on all of the most important skills a follower needs.
Axis, balance, ochos, footwork, understanding the lead, musicality,
embellishments and adornments, "pretty feet" - we'll cover quite a bit
and you will be tired afterwards, but it will be worth it. Just for
followers. Wine (and other Beverages) allowed $15.
David and I are thinking about going to Fiesta de Tango in Austin, TX
June 4-7. If you want to join us, let me know!
We stopped in at Sea Salt last week and were pleasantly surprised to
see a major addition to their kitchen capacity output. Shorter lines!
The outdoor tango events will start in June.

How do you become a better tango dancer? Here are my favorite hints:
Take a private the day after your group lesson, while all your
frustrations are still fresh.
Find some practice partners.
When you walk, everytime you walk, stand up straight, transfer your
weight and feel your balance and axis.
Go out and dance!
