Classes Thursday: 7:00 is the Leader's Technique - for leaders who want to
improve their following, and feel what their followers are feeling. We have
been working on the correct walking technique. Thursday's 8:00 class we are
working on drags, sandwiches and step-overs. Challenging but fun! My
Saturday morning class is a great class to zero in on the basics of tango.
So if you've been away from tango for awhile, or something's just not
feeling right, this is a great class to take.

February begins the long-awaited Milonga Month, one of two that I do every
year (the next one is August). I really cannot emphasize the importance of
dancing milonga well. Don't be caught doing tango moves to milonga - it
feels, and looks, as wrong as dancing swing to tango music. Besides, milonga
is so much fun! I am way too popular as a leader when the milongas are
playing - guys, step up and help me! Followers - simple milongas are fun,
but with a little more information you might catch more cool things. Don't
miss out!

This Saturday there will not be a Blues Class. But next Wednesday I am
starting a special Overview of Swing Dance class. We'll talk about, and
learn, several kinds of swing: east coast, west coast, lindy, jive,
triple-count, single-count, six-count, etc. Oh, yes, and the "rock & roll"
danced in BA by people like Flaco Dany, Tete, Oscar, etc. This is in
preparation for some fusion classes that I am planning in the future. 8:00
PM, series of 5 classes. Please let me know if you're interested, so that I
can decide on space requirements.

Going to BA? I found airfares under $950 at Vayama.com. This is less than
the $1075 I paid last fall - it may never be this low again! People often
tell me that when they say they're from MN, portenos will ask if they're
with Lois's group. Go ahead and say yes, you might get a discount!

Scheduling private lessons: Yes, I teach on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Friday evenings are also usually available.
