[Tango] Tango this week - and Westtango and Blues

One more week to discover the unique feel of milonga! The end of February is
the end of Milonga Month. Next one is in August.

Tuesday at the party the food has been extra good lately. Come and check it

Wednesday, February 25th: There is a new movement dedicated to combining
West Coast Swing, Lindy, Blues and Tango. Steve Lee and Lois Donnay are
bringing this new dance to the Twin Cities. Steve calls this Westango.
Sometimes called "swango", this is a fusion between tango and the other
dances commonly danced to the same tempo music. Tango will bring passion to
your West Coast Swing, and West Coast Swing will bring playfulness to your
tango!  

Every week we will explore more possibilities. We will dance to "tango
Nuevo" music as well as traditional and blues, since West Coast dancers are
already familiar with it and have been dancing to it for some time. But
exploring the possibilities of music, plus dancing well to all music, will
be an important factor in the classes.

Wednesday, February 25th at 8:00 PM.  You need to have some experience with
both West Coast Swing and Tango for this class, but you don't have to be
expert at either one. We'll help you get there!  Cost: $75 for 5 classes, or
$20 each.

Class location: Old Arizona Studio
2821 Nicollet Ave S., 55408  through the courtyard, behind the log cabin.
Free parking across the street. 

Saturday: Blues Dancing! 
7:00 PM class Tango to the Blues (and other alternative music).
8:00PM class Blues Dancing  - Classes at 3142 1st Ave S. Bring food or
beverages, or share ours.

We will be heading out afterward to join other members of the blues dance
community. Of course you're welcome to join us, even if you don't take the
classes!  I haven't checked the schedule yet about where we will go, so I'll
send an email later or check the website.
