My students and I have been talking about ideas for improving the local tango community -
always a big interest of mine. I believe that some of the most important things for a good
community are good dancers, of all types, and fun events for them to attend. Black Dog is
this Saturday, (plus Tuesday parties) so hopefully I've done my part toward the "fun
events"
As for the good dancers, I work really hard at that. But I understand that for some,
quality tango lessons can be out of reach. Some people try to just take free lessons, or
take a lesson here and there, or (arghh!) try to learn from videos. No one should be denied
being able to dance tango well because of funds.
As many of you know I will be leaving for Buenos Aires in just one month. From now until
November 15th when I leave (yes, Saturday classes will be held!) I would like to offer a
promotion to my loyal students. When you bring a new student with you (anyone new to my
classes) you can get your class for free. Or you can give them their class for free.
So, you can use this to finally get your friends into tango, or get a favorite partner to
improve their skills. (after that lesson, the rest is up to them!) Or, if you are
enterprising and have lots of friends, you can get several free lessons for yourself.
If you have any questions about this promotion, let me know.
