I am just recovering from the festival weekend, and am excited to share some of the things
I learned, not just in classes but on the floor. Not just steps, but the feeling behind the
movements.

Tuesday classes we'll continue some of the secada work that we were doing last week. Also
in Thursday class, we'll play with more open embrace.

Don't forget Tuesday night's party, where we not only dance, drink and hash out the world's
issues, but share great ideas about our tango experiences. 3142 1st Ave S, 55408. at about
9:30.

We have something new at the Black Dog this Saturday: Here's what a local dancer said about
last month: "We had a great time at the Black Dog last night, in the top ten for
sure. Very nice!"

Please join us for Tango Happy Hour
Organized by the TSoM Membership Committee

Get to know other dancers off (but very near) the dance floor!

Our first happy hour is coming up on the third Saturday of this month.

Topic - "We like milonguero-style tango"
Special Guests - Mike and Suzanne Doyle
When – Saturday, May 17 from 6:30pm – 8pm
Where – Black Dog Café at 308 Prince Street in St Paul, 55101 (location
of Lois Donnay's monthly lesson/milonga) $4 cover for the milonga.
Host - Lindsay Orr, TSoM Membership Committee

Mike and Suzanne Doyle have attended a number of milonguero-flavored
festivals, many of which host teachers (known affectionately as "old
milongueros") who were dancing during the Golden Age of tango in the
1930's through the 1950's. Mike and Suzanne have attended the
International Milonguero Meeting in Buenos Aires and festivals in
Chicago, Atlanta, Urbana, Ann Arbor among others.

Please join us for informal chatting and then dancing!

**Special guests of Tango Happy Hour are current TSoM members with
experience of general interest to share with the tango community. You
need not be a member of TSoM to attend the happy hour. You don't even
need to like dancing. Tango Happy Hour is organized at a time and place
adjacent to a milonga or other event on the TSoM calendar. Resulting
conversations are intended to promote deeper connections among dancers
on and off the dance floor.
Warning: spontaneous dancing may result.
