People have been asking me about footwear for dancing outdoors: Although we will most
likely be on "food-grade" cement, which is very smooth and non-porous, this is not a good
occasion for your best shoes, especially if your dance shoes have suede on the soles. I
find that leather is best, but you can also put duct tape on the bottom of your tennis
shoes. The harder the sole, the slicker, which is what you want. Strappy sandals are not
good, since they offer little support. Maybe not your highest heels, either. Go ahead and
have fun with your attire!
The Sea Salt has wine and beer, and they may stock up on the Argentine stuff.
We will not cancel because of weather! There is a covered pavilion. If there are any last
minute things you need to know, call me at 612.518.4915.
Here's a great article on the New York outdoor tangos: (you may need to login)
