In classes this week we have been revisiting some of our favorite moves, to make sure they
are still sharp. It is amazing what the difference is between the same move done
excellently and done just OK.

I have been getting more requests to teach in a more fluid embrace, and we do that on
Thursday.

This Tuesday at Milonga Martes we will be enjoying some of the food left over from the
picnic last night. We are not above leftovers!! Bring them along!

OUTDOOR MILONGA THIS SATURDAY! Now's the perfect time! When I was President of Tango
Society of MN, one of my priorities was to have an outdoor milonga like I enjoyed in Buenos
Aires and other cities. I have managed to make sure that we have one every year since!
There could hardly be a more beautiful setting for this than Minnehaha Park.

The environment is more casual than a traditional milonga, although take this opportunity
to come out in your most creative outfits as City Pages and other press will be there to
video us.

Even if you don't dance, it's a perfect way to spend a night outdoors: dining on the
wonderful food at Sea Salt, drinking vino tinto, and enjoying warm weather while watching
the most beloved of Argentine dances. One word to the wise, however: mosquitoes love all of
the flesh that tango dancers tend to expose, so a bottle of bug-spray will make for a much
more pleasant experience.

We will dance wherever it suits us best, so you may have to look around and find us. They
have a lovely patio, as well as a large pavilion, or we may be inside by the diners. In nay
case, don't wear your best shoes - no suede bottoms, and duct tape on soles works
surprisingly well. Don't forget to thank Jon, the owner, and Marissa, who made it possible
for this event to happen! And one more thing - I would love to have a few volunteers to
make sure that this goes smoothly. Call me!!
