We are continuing to work on Moves Women Love. Remember that women love the simple moves, when done well, so there will be a lot of technique. That includes walking and the embrace, because nothing can start without that. I have a reputation for turning out good leaders, so I have a vested interest in making sure every leader has the right stuff!

In Thursday class we are working in a variety of embraces and styles. Leaders must have a good handle on close embrace down before you can move to open. Followers may find a different technique needed, so it may be a bit frustrating at first. The class size is small, though, so you can really get a lot of information in a short time.

Saturday June 21st is the Black Dog milonga. This month there will be a wedding party at the gallery next door, and the guests want to come out and check out the tango scene. Come early to the lesson and help me introduce them properly.

Other tango events coming up:
Friday, June 20 from 8:00 to 9:30pm Interested in Buenos Aires? This is a subject we talk about often at the Tuesday night party because most of the people who come have made the trip, and we are starting to make plans for the November trip. Let me know if you are interested - the deadline is approaching. We now have 5 people signed up!. "Please join us for Tango Happy Hour Organized by the TSoM Membership Committee Get to know other dancers off (but very near) the dance floor! Topic - "Let's chat about visiting Buenos Aires!" Special Guests - Marisa Riviere, Dan Griggs and Sanae Storey, Pauline Oo When - Where - Patio of Joe's Garage, 1610 Harmon Place, Minneapolis 55403 (right around the corner from Michael Cordner's milonga at Four Season's) Host - Lindsay Orr, TSoM Membership Committee

Join us to share travel tips and experiences of Buenos Aires! Marisa Riviere will be representing the portnenos (people from Buenos Aires).
Marisa visits home at least twice per year and rumor has it she has a condo with an amazing view near the historic tango barrio, La Boca. Dan
Griggs and Sanae Storey just returned from their maiden voyage to Buenos Aires this past April. They can provide perspective on navigating the
milonga scene (and shopping?) as a couple. Pauline Oo will be representing the single/significant-other-is-back-in-the-US traveler.
Pauline's been there twice: November 2005 for 2 weeks and March/April 2007 for 3 weeks.

**Special guests of Tango Happy Hour are current TSoM members with experience of general interest to share with the tango community. You need not be a member of TSoM to attend the happy hour. You don't even have to like dancing. Tango Happy Hour is organized at a time and place adjacent to a milonga or other event on the TSoM calendar. Resulting conversations are intended to promote deeper connections among dancers on and off the dance floor. C'mon, you know at least five people will be there! Warning: spontaneous dancing may result. Email Lindsay with questions (orrxx058 at umn dot edu)"
