In lessons these past weeks we have been working a lot in the "crossed foot" system. There
are so many options, and this opens your dance to so many more possibilities. We'll look at
more options, and check our technique so that we are not sacrificing our partner's comfort
for the sake of a "cool move". No class Thursday, because it's Babalu's.
Don't forget the Tuesday night party! Last week you could have enjoyed Lissa's devilled
eggs, (if you got there by 9:32). We've also been treated to some excellent wines, as some
people are using the party to share some of their favorite wine finds. Starts at 9:30.
Thursday, June 5th: It's Babalu's Passport to Argentina week! This week, the tango starts
at 7:00 and ends at 10:00, when the music will change to club music. Happy hour is from 4
to 7 with half priced drinks, so it's a great excuse to get there early.
Then, Friday night, June 6th, is the Hopkins milonga. This is the milonga to go to if you
love good ambience. This week Mandragora is playing. I will teach a beginning lesson at
8:00. There will be a mix of music played during the band breaks, so you can get in a swing
or a salsa, too.
No tango Saturday, as Dave Rost has had to cancel his milonga.
