Lessons this week: We will continue on some of the new things we learned
with Ernest. We will look at some of the things that followers can do in
Canyengue to embellish the dance-and there is a lot! Then we'll do a little
salon tango to see how we can use the new-found Canyengue technique to
improve all our tango. Coming up: Remember that February is milonga month!
Tuesday lessons at Old Arizona 29th and Nicollet.

Tuesday nights are always "Milonga Martes": food and drink, lots of
regulars, welcoming and comfortable; both new friends and old. Bring food or
wine, or contribute to the kitty, (but I think we have enough crackers.)
9:30 PM, 3142 1st Ave S

Thursday: Lessons are cancelled tonight because of the Estampas Portenas
show at the Northrup. David and I will be dancing and handing out literature
before the show. Come and see us, and help recruit! Then, next Thursday is
Babalu's. Start reminding your friends now about the $5 tango lesson.

Saturday beginning lessons are on as usual, 3142 1st Ave S.

Sunday the 3rd there is something big happening in the football world, I am
told, so some of the Mandragora people need to gather in front of a
television set instead of playing at the Loring Pasta Bar. So they have
asked me to step in and DJ. Please come out and join me! If the past is any
indication, football games do not seem to dampen the attendance at tango
events, so it should be a fun night.

It's winter now so just a little reminder: when you go to the Loring or
Babalu's, keep your dancer's paraphernalia (shoes, music, extra shirts,
towels, coats, literature) contained and not in pathways or too visible.
Soon it will be warm enough to leave a coat in the car!
