This week, we're starting a new series on basics, letting tango into your body and not just in your feet. David and I discussed at length what we felt from the best followers in BA, and I know what I felt from the best leaders, so we intend on requiring this from our local dancers!
Thursday we are going to work more in open, which is always good for followers. We're going to start tackling colgadas, which is just a fancy word for pivots. My style of teaching is to make things seem easy, not confuse you!
Tuesday party! This is so like Buenos Aires - showing up late at a friend's house with a bottle of wine, and laughing, talking and dancing until the clock just won't let you ignore it anymore.
The Black Dog milonga is Saturday! Of course, we'll include a couple of danceable Christmas tunes. 7:30, Broadway and Prince St., St. Paul.
We're getting lots of interest in the New Year's Eve Gala Milonga. That's great! It's going to be quite an event! Remember that you need to pay in advance. Here is the Paypal address that you can send your payment to: nyegala at mndance.com The earlier we get payments, the better the event will be. Here are the details again:

P.S. David reminds you that he is available for car repair as well as consulting on car repair issues. He is a certified mechanic, but also worked for many years as a service writer. He can not only repair it himself, (electrical problems are his specialty) he can tell you what a repair should cost, which repairs need to be done right away and which can wait, and whether your estimate is reasonable. The next time you gasp at a huge estimate, remember you can call him for a consultation. 763.566.1976
Oh, yes, and the home repair projects. Plumbing, ceramic tile, sheetrock are his favorites, and I am sitting in comfort after his excellent insulation and window replacement. Together, he and Len can do just about anything!
