We are having some fun embellishing our dance, both for the man and woman.
We have been working on some more difficult things in Intermediate, but
remember if it gets difficult, keep working on the simpler things that are
challenging you. Unfortunately there are no Thursday classes this week
because of Babalu's, but we will continue the momentum we had next week.

Tuesday party is heating up! This week we are going to celebrate Becky's
birthday, even though it was actually Sunday. We had lots of food last week,
and this week we'll see if we can add cake. Come and join us 9:15 or so.

Babalu's is this week! Lesson at 7:00, dance at 8. Cover $5. The mojitos
here are the best. Big wood dance floor! Free parking on the street, or
valet parking. HAPPY HOUR: "Tapa" and Wine specials from 5:00pm to 7:00pm,
the food special is Paella Valenciana, (chicken, mussels, clams, shrimp and
Argentine langostinos)http://www.babalu.us/

I got this several years from one of my students, and it always reminds me
of why we are (or should be) dancing tango: It is fun! Sometimes we spend
so much time worrying about our technique, styles, moves, etc. that we
forget the most important part - Are you smiling after your tango nights???
"I'm afraid I must complain about last night's class. My face hurt when I
got home from smiling so much. Great fun. Even though I didn't completely
get the closed leg flick thing, I did get a sense of what it could be like.
It's amazing to me how just the possibility can be pleasing. It's times
when there is absolutely no feel of the could, that can be a bit
discouraging. But, I rarely worry about those any more, and look forward to
the ones that make my cheeks hurt."
