So much to talk about this week that I hope I can get it all in. Such
a problem – too much fun!
First, the upcoming events:
Tuesday night dance, drink and talk at my house, 3142 1st Ave S.
Starts at about 9:30, usually ends just after midnight. Bring some
wine, some food or put some bucks in the kitty.

This Saturday May 19th the Black Dog tango will be held at Old Arizona
to make room for all the people who will come for Maxi’s lesson and
DJ’ing. Maximiliano Gluzman started dancing in 1997. He soon
discovered milonguero style and studied with the most renowned
Argentine teachers in this style: Susana Miller, Ana Maria Schapira,
Pedro "Tete" Rusconi, Pocho y Neli, Ricardo Vidort and Jorge Kero.
Even if his main source of practice has been dancing in the milonga
through endless hours, he has also embraced teaching as a main activity.
His topic will be floorcraft and dancing in small spaces. This is one
of the biggest questions that I get – what do I do when the traffic
stops?

Old Arizona Studios, 2821 Nicollet Ave S, Mpls, 55408 $15 for the
lesson, $5 for the dance. Lesson at 7 to 8PM, dancing at 8. In the
dance studio, in the purple building. They will have a theater
performance that night, so please be sure that you come into the
correct building. We will have signs up.

June 30th is the Outdoor Milonga at Old Arizona. You don’t want to
miss this one! We will dance in the courtyard, but the garage door to
the theater will be open so we can dance on a wood floor. But who
would want to do that? Unless it rains

Now to the lessons:
Tonight and every Monday is for the guys. Following for leaders helps
you to explore what it is really like on the other side.
Guys who just want to lead are welcome to come and help out at no
charge. Leading a guy, according to David, is kind of like warming up
with two bats. So you will get something out of it, too! 3142 1st Ave S

In Tuesday’s beginner’s class, we have been getting the cross figured
out. On Thursday, we play with it some more.
Saturday’s classes (3142 1st Ave) have had fewer people, so if you
want some extra attention this is a great class to attend.
