[Tango] Tango this week - and there is a lot!

We will continue to work on making our dance look attractive, especially
some adornements for men.
Mondays, following for Leaders, 8:30 at 3142 1st Ave S. Men who want to
practice leading are welcome to come at no charge.
Tuesdays beginners at 6:30, advanced at 8. 
Thursdays NO CLASS! We will be at Babalu's instead.
Saturdays beginners as usual at 10:00 AM

Don't forget to stop by and join the party at 9:30 at my house. Last week,
shrimp, salsa and Haagen Daz. This week who knows? 

Thursday, June 7th, Babalu's is going to host Passport to Buenos Aires. 
They will have a free tango lesson with Lois Donnay and tango demonstrations
from 7 to 8PM
Mandragora will play from 8:00PM to 11:00 PM
800 Washington Ave N (across from Bunkers)
Cover charge $5, includes the wine tasting.
Free parking on the street
They will have a free wine tasting of Argentine wines and specials on
Argentine foods.

On Saturday, June 9th, the Minneapolis Mosaic Festival of Arts has invited
us to perform and teach a little between 8:45 and 9:15. We will be at the
FOLK CIRCLE on 9th and Hennepin.  Please come and support us, or join in. I
am still looking for people who want to perform.

A word on asking and being asked to dance- Please do not feel bad if someone
turns you down for a dance, or if you want to turn someone down for a dance.
Tango is a very personal dance. Unlike other dances, there is no requirement
that you dance with whoever asks you. There are many reasons to turn down a
dance. Don't take it personally, and don't get angry. Maybe the music is
wrong, the floor is wrong, the timing is wrong, the mood is wrong - in other
words, maybe it isn't you. If you really think it is you, talk to your
teacher, who will give you an unvarnished opinion and perhaps more
information than you want, but never more than you need.
