[Tango] Tango this week

August starts this week! And so we have the start of Milonga Month. Milonga 
is fun, easier to hear, easier to find your feet, and as many of you know if 
I had my way I would start everyone with milonga. However, Monday and 
Tuesday is still July, so we will finish up the things we were working on 
this month in tango. Next month is milonga for everyone, including Following 
for Leaders. Thursday is the first August in the month, so that means 
Babalu's! Yes, the Advanced class is cancelled this week so we can all go 
over to Babalu's.

Another big change-as of next week, I am moving the Advanced class back to 
the studio at 3142 1st Ave S. This is a smaller class, and as we prepare for 
Buenos Aires it is necessary for both leaders and followers to learn to 
dance in smaller spaces. Thursdays, 8:00PM, 3142 1st Ave SO. You must have 
the teacher's permission to join this class.

9:30 Every Tuesday - Tango and talk with the local tango community at Lois's 
house, 3142 1st Ave S. Minneapolis. Bring a bottle of wine and something to 
eat, or donate something to the cause. All types of people, lots of fun!

THURSDAY: Babalu's!
August 2nd Babalu's Latin Restaurant hosts Passport to Buenos Aires.
Free tango lesson with Lois Donnay and tango demonstrations from 7 to 8PM
Mandragora Tango Orchestra will play from 8:00PM to 11:00 PM, DJ'd music 
after that.

Free parking on the street. Wine tasting. Specials on Argentine foods. (Try 
the Queso Fundido con Chorizo or stuffed sole, and they are famous for their 
Mojitos)

Coming Up:

Next Fourth Saturday, for the workshop Bob Barnes will teach a Musicality 
class. He has just returned from Buenos Aires where he spent his time 
studying tango music, and he has given workshops when Mandragora has 
traveled to other cities. Make a note of it!

 Cost is $14 per person per class

Just drop in! No partner necessary. All classes emphasize authentic 
Argentine tango.
