We had an absolutely great time last Saturday at blues class and afterwards
at Schullers. I want to share the message that I got from the guys in the
band this week:
Lois - We just wanted to thank you for coming out on
Saturday night to Schuller's and having some fun with us. It was great
seeing the dancers enjoying our music. I have added you to our mailing list
and will monthly send out our latest schedule. We look forward to seeing you
again, and if there is ever anything you could use us for musically, please
let us know. Our next local performance is February 8th at Decoys in
Hopkins. Hope you can make it out then.
Again - thanks so much -
Carol & T. Albert
Tonight's beginning lesson we will review the cross. I am really pleased how
quickly people picked this up last week! Tonight after lessons we will
again wander over three blocks from Old Arizona to my house to eat, drink,
dance and socialize. Everyone is welcome!
Thursday we start Milonga Month! Since women love milonga, (and we've been
low on followers) I am hoping that we will have a better turnout for
followers this Thursday.
Saturday's classes will still be in tango, although I may throw in some
milonga just because it's good for you.
Remember, Tuesdays and Thursday's we are at Old Arizona, 2821 Nicollet S,
door code 13524, and Saturday's at 3142 1st Ave S

I've been thinking lately about courage. So many people who jump out of
planes, go scubadiving, ski off of mountaintops, drive during rush hour and
do all kinds of foolish and dangerous things that threaten life and limb,
will not risk hurting something that you would think could heal the easiest
- their egos. Unfortunately, putting yourself out there to learn to dance is
the surest way to get your ego bruised. First of all, you have to be willing
to look foolish for at least 2 months while you are first learning.
(Sometimes longer!) Next, you have to be willing to be rejected every time
you go out to dance. So, I salute all of you who are secure and strong
enough to continue this great activity!
