[Tango] Tango info for this week!

Swing dance lessons start tonight, Monday at 7:30 at 3142 1st Ave S. These
are great classes if you have some swing dance experience but need to get
reminded of some moves and techniques.  Afterwards we'll probably go to the
Eagles to practice. Remember that tango classes are at Old Arizona this
Tuesday and Thursday, and at 3142 1st Ave S on Saturday. 

After the Tuesday lessons, we will gather to dance and dine at my house,
3142 1st Ave s. Things haven't panned out at JP's Bistro, so we're going
where we are always welcome and I have complete control over the music.
Bring a bottle of wine, some food to share, or throw a $5 in the kitty.

This Thursday for the intermediate lesson, I am going to bring some videos
of tango dancing. We'll discuss some of the dancing and compare and
contrast. Should be a fun class!

This Friday I will be out at Shakopee Ballroom enjoying Mandragora Orchestra
on their great big, polished ballroom floor. I will teach a lesson before at
7:00. They play from 8 to 11.   www.shakopeeballroom.com  2400 East Fourth

to Canterbury Rd. Take a right to 4th Ave, then take a left for 1 mile. The
ballroom is on the corner of Shenandoah and 4th. I would love to see some of
you there early for the lesson, and perhaps get some assistance in teaching
and demonstrating tango for the folks in the southern suburbs.

The tango lessons in Prior Lake start on January 17th. Please let your
friends know that there are decent dance lessons being held in the southern
suburbs!  Down south at the VFW in Prior Lake.  These will be beginning
lessons, Wednesday nights, and the series will last 6 weeks. With enough

Six week tango instruction for $80/each or $150 per couple.  
Days are 17th, 24th, 31st of Jan, 7th and 14th of Feb, and a Monday.

Saturday is the TSoM Milonga! Always a great time, and this time I will be
teaching. 

Good News Flash: The Holidays and New Years have finally brought some of the
prodigal back to tango, as well as those we've been waiting and hoping would
get started!  I always offer free lessons to all of the servers and staff at
tango venues - Abby from the Loring Pasta Bar has been coming to lessons!
Now if we can just get the Black Dog staff started...
