Outdoor tango - those of you who were at the Aster know how great it is! I've always wanted to get something like this started here:
Subject: [TSOM-Announce] Tango in the New York Times

Don't forget:
This Saturday, August 25th - 4TH SATURDAY! - Musicality
Workshop with Bob Barnes, leader of Mandragora Tango Orchestra, who just
returned from a music study trip to Buenos Aires. He will impart some of the
things he learned. He will bring music and his accordion, giving us examples
of a variety of musical elements. Afterwards I will give you some ideas on
how to use the music most effectively in your dance. Using the music is the
single best way to improve your dance - use the moves you know, but put them
in the right place in the music and your dancing will improve immeasurably!

7:30 PM, $15, 3142 1st Ave. As always, you are welcome to bring the beverage
of your choice. Afterwards - party! We'll turn the music up and play with
all of our new-found knowledge. Starts about 9:00 You don't need to come to the workshop to come to the party.
