[Tango] tango for the 4th week in August

Milonga month continues. new steps, new techniques - this month is going too 
fast!  We of course also talk about the music. Followers-don't neglect your 
milonga.  Anticipating in milonga takes away your leader's options and will 
force him to simplify his dance. Don't do it!

Thursday - DON'T FORGET! The classes are moved to 3142 1st Ave S. We are 
working on the best way to do milonga - small.

Tuesday night is the "third place milonga": food and drink, highly 
accessible: proximate for many; involve regulars - those who habitually 
congregate there; welcoming and comfortable; both new friends and old should 
be found there. 9:30, 3142 1st Ave S. NEXT WEEK (28th) - change of venue! 
Victoria has offered to host the party, and we'll be dancing outside! She's 
just a few blocks south on 1st

This Saturday, August 25th 4th SATURDAY! - We will host a Musicality 
Workshop with Bob Barnes, leader of Mandragora Tango Orchestra, who just 
returned from a music study trip to Buenos Aires. He will try to impart some 
of the things he learned. He will bring music and his accordion, giving us 
examples of a variety of musical elements. In between I will give you some 
ideas on how to use the music most effectively in your dance.
7:30 PM, $15, 3142 1st Ave. As always, you are welcome to bring the beverage 
of your choice.  Afterwards - party! We'll turn the music up and play with 
all of our new-found knowledge.

Coming up next Tuesday, AUGUST 28th  9 Nights of Music at the Minnesota 
History Center with Mandragora Tango. Tango lesson at 6:30 with Lois Donnay, 
then dancing to the great music of Mandragora Tango, Minnesota's only live 
tango orchestra. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Since I dropped David off at the airport 
this morning, I'll need some assistants to talk to people and hand out 
literature. I would also like someone to stay back at the beginning lesson 
at Old Arizona. Let me know if you can help!

Advanced - 8:00 PM Thursdays
