It's finally here! Milonga Month! However, Saturday mornings I will
continue to do beginning tango, for those who want it.
A word about levels - what does Advanced, Intermediate Beginning, etc
mean? For my classes, beginning is where I expose people to the basic
concepts and technique. It does not mean you are a beginning dancer. The
smart student takes beginning classes a lot. Even if you have been
dancing for years, you will learn something in the beginning classes. In
intermediate, we refine what we did in beginners, but you should have a
solid handle on your basics. Otherwise, you'll just keep doing things
wrong, and you'll get farther behind, and that is certainly not your
goal, I hope. In advanced, prepare to be frustrated. If your learning
style likes to be challenged beyond what you can do, these are for you.
If you have questions on where you should be, give me a call.
Sat., Aug. 5 - 5:30-7:45 & 9:45-11:45 - MANDRAGORA ORCHESTRA (Argentine
Tango) Downtown Mpls. on the outdoor Peavey Plaza at 11th & Nicollet
right outside Orchestra Hall. David Rost's milonga is cancelled for
that night, so come on downtown to dance! There will be a concrete
dance space available, so wearing hard-soled shoes is best. Food and
beverages are for sale out on the plaza.
Trip to Buenos Aires in November - I will be going to Buenos Aires again
in November - would you like to join me? So far, I've got two women and
two men who will come along with me.
Dates will be around November 15th, and I will stay over Thanksgiving.
You do not need to come at the exact dates as everyone else - just tell
me your dates and I will arrange for your accommodations and all other
arrangements.
Call me with questions!
