Milonga month continues! A guy told me last week that he was so happy
because he finally understood milonga after the class. If you're still
thinking tango is difficult, try to solidify your technique with
milonga. If you want to get more dances, let milonga help you!
Follower's Technique class Thursdays at 7: I get so many questions on
this! No, there are no leaders. We work together, helping each other
through follower's issues. How to embellish. How to be responsive. How
to wait for the lead. How to look good on the floor. How to get
dances, and how to get better dances. Think of it as your weekly
exercise class with a little social time worked in. All levels
welcome.
Tuesday party: Tuesdays rock! This week, Next week we're going to say
goodbye to summer with a Margarita Party.
Saturday is Black Dog! I anticipate lots of beginners at the 7:30
lesson, so come and support them. If there is a nice group of people
at 11, the Black Dog is willing to stay open.
Sunday, Mandragora will not be at the Loring Pasta Bar. I will DJ
instead.Come and join us! Come early and get a table, or do like I do
and float around, trying to get in time with everybody. Either way,
the Loring Pasta Bar is fun, and a great treasure that we should
support.
Coming up: Saturday August 22: Tango to the Blues and Blues Dancing
is back! After a short respite to allow us to dance outside, .
7:00 PM Tango to the Blues (and other alternative music). Blues music
has many similarities to tango (unlike electronic tango), and
sometimes is more approachable because our ears are more familiar with
it. I always see an increase in tango understanding with people who
take this class. 8:00 PM Blues Dancing It is deceptive - not as
easy as it looks! Kind of like tango....Then we'll head out to to
practice what we've learned and join other members of the blues dance
community. Of course everyone is welcome to
join us, even if you don't take the classes! I'll announce where next week.
Lessons are at 3142 1st Ave S,
$10 per class

Coming Up: Tango class for dancers of other dance types: Ballroom?
Swing? Salsa? You worked hard to learn those dances, and now want to
add Argentine tango to your repertoire. Every dance shares something
with tango. I dance these other dances as well - let me help you
transfer the correct skills from your other dances to tango, while
leaving other skills in the other dance's "box" Date and time TBA.
