*SATURDAY*
Outdoor tango at Minnehaha Park - Great news! Eli Lesorowitz will DJ!
The environment is more casual than a traditional milonga, although take
this opportunity
to come out in your most creative outfits as photographers love to capture
the moment.
Even if you don't dance, it's a perfect way to spend a night outdoors:
dining on the
wonderful food at Sea Salt (recently expanded - shorter lines!), drinking
vino tinto, and enjoying warm weather while watching
our beloved of Argentine dance.
We will dance wherever it suits us best, so you may have to look around and
find us. They
have a lovely patio, as well as a large pavilion, or we may be inside by the
diners. In any
case, don't wear your best shoes! Don't forget to thank Jon, the owner, who
made it possible
for this event to happen!
What to bring: Your friends, family and kids, bug-spray, several pairs of
shoes. This event is a lot of work, so if you'd like to come early to help
that would be OK!
Where: Sea Salt Restaurant, 4825 Minnehaha Ave
Minnehaha Falls Park
Minneapolis, MN 55417

Minnesota History Center. In case of inclement weather, events will move

*Cafe Accordion Orchestra with tango lesson with Lois Donnay*
Enjoy a loungy, eclectic mix of French flare, Latin heat and Bohemian
attitude with Café Accordian Orchestra. Wear your favorite rakish beret to
model in the Beret Parade. Dan Newton and his musicians provide the bongos
and the bravura--you bring the baguettes. It's a beatnik picnic on the
History Center plaza.
Walker Art Center Target Free Thursday Night Events - July 9th - Mandragora
with free Tango lesson with Lois Donnay
After Hours: Culture with cocktails. Dubbed "the hippest place to be in the
Twin Cities," Walker After Hours launched in 1997 as the local happy hour
alternative, and since then has attracted more than 100,000 trendy young
(and not so young) professionals to the Walker Art Center.
After a brief hiatus, After Hours has returned to much acclaim. These
spectacular parties celebrate the world of contemporary art and feature a
first look at the Walker's major touring exhibitions. In addition to
previewing the Walker exhibitions, After Hours guests can dine on
complementary Wolfgang Puck hors d'oeuvres, partake in drinks from the cash
bars, and groove to the beat of Mondragora Tango Orchestra. Film, art
making, and live music round out the party experience. Guests can also
capture the moment at Party People Pictures with a photographic
self-portrait projected minutes later on the lobby walls and uploaded to
www.flickr.com/groups/walkerafterhours<http://flickr.com/groups/walkerafterhours>to
share with friends and colleagues.
For tickets and information, call 612.375.7600 or visit
walkerart.org/tickets. Purchase tickets online and save $2 per ticket. New
members receive one free ticket when they join.
Follower's class will be held early, then we'll go over together. Advanced
technique class cancelled!
