Announcements:
Tango Society of MN Argentine Tango dances held the 2nd Saturday of every
month have moved from Retro Ballroom in St. Louis Park to ERV Dance Studio in
Hopkins- 816 Main Street, above Mainstreet Bar & Grill (the old Foster's
Dancesport Studio).
Tropical Ballroom students have started a Baby Pool! James & Tricia are due
for a baby boy on April 20th. For $1.00, guess the actual Date & Time (and
Weight as a tie breaker) of the birth! Winner gets half the pot! Sign up at
the front desk!
Tropical Ballroom has an "Easter Bunny Special" going on now through April
12th. All private lessons are $75 each (50 minutes, cover 2 people, expire 1
year from date of purchase). Gift Certificates available.

Sat, March 28th & Sun, March 29th: Two Day Dance Extravaganza at Cinema
Ballroom in St. Paul. Saturday: 11am-6pm dance showcases (watch people
perform), and they get critiqued. 7:30-11:30pm social dancing and watch

Saturday, March 28th: Dance Benefit for Ron Curme who is going through a
long recovery from recent brain tumor surgery. 7:00pm-12:00am at the Double
Tree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place. Band: Do-Ron-Ron playing '50s-'70s rock 'n
roll style with fun flavor of swing. Silent Auction of fabulous donated
prizes. Wally the BeerMan. Full bar. $25 admission (cash or checks).

Star Showcase. Performers get judged for feedback on how to improve their
dancing. Spectator tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door.

Friday, April 3rd: Got friends who don't dance? Tropical Ballroom in
Woodbury is hosting a free Introductory Sampler dance class night from
6:00-8:00pm. Enjoy four 30-minute dance lessons for free! Just show up! 6:00pm Waltz,
6:30pm Swing, 7:00pm Tango, 7:30pm Salsa. Please carry in a clean pair of

Saturday, April 4th: Benefit dance for Frank Dandl (Roxy & Tom Ketchum's
son), who was in a skiing accident Jan. 10th (eight broken vertebrae, broken
clavicle and scapula, four broken ribs, and traumatic brain injury). He will be
out of work for up to one year. Silent Auction at 6:30pm. Dance to City
Sounds DJ. Admission is $10 per person, benefiting their health bills. Skip &
Diane will be there, also celebrating Skip Schletz's birthday. Held at
American Legion in Forest Lake.
Saturday, April 4th: Ballroom variety dance at Retro Ballroom in St. Louis
Park. Merengue lesson at 7:30pm. Dance with DJ Andy Trawick 8:30-11pm. 1/2
hour mini Cuban hip action lessons included. $10.
