ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Shakopee Ballroom hosted their last ballroom dance last Friday night, until
New Year's Eve. Word is: their bands are playing at too many other locations
now, so people aren't driving to Shakopee enough. Their New Year's Eve
ballroom dance band and menu will be announced soon.
Rebels West Coast Swing Dance Club will be moving to the Social Dance Studio
as of the Masquerade Ball on Oct. 18th. Dances will then be on regular
schedule- the 1st & 3rd Sundays of every month starting Nov. 2nd. Admission will
go up to $7 for members, $11 for nonmembers. There will no longer be a free
dance lesson before the dances. There will be paid lessons available
Sundays at 5:30pm, also held at Social Dance Studio but taught by Rebels
instructors. The first official Sunday dance held at Social Dance Studio on Nov. 2nd
will be free to everyone.
Thursday (tomorrow), Woodbury Bulletin newspaper is coming out to our 12noon
Tango lesson (at Tropical Ballroom in Woodbury) to take pictures, then do an
interview. Dress for photos if you're in that class!

practice dancing at Tropical Ballroom from 8:00-10:00pm, $5 per person.
Variety of music played. Practice all your new dance moves. Rotate partners as
you wish. Requests welcome. Staff available for questions. Bring your
friends!
Thursdays: Late Night Swing Dance, DJ'd from 10pm-1am, $6 or $4
members/students, at the Tapestry Folkdance Center.

Dance Mixer (a dance that rotates partners) & 16-Step (learn the train &
bridges that other places don't know!) lessons taught by Lynn & Elaine Boergerhoff.
7:40-8:30pm Intermediate/Advanced Night Club 2-Step and Hustle lessons by
James & Tricia Wood! 8:30-11:30pm Dance with guest DJ Ed Everson. Door

Friday, October 3rd: Country dancing at Spirit of Sobriety Club (SOS) in
Oakdale. Skip & Diane are celebrating Kathy Stewart's birthday with cake & ice
cream. $6 cover.
