YAY!  Our big weekend is finally here!  We will be kicking off  our 2-day 
free Grand Opening weekend of Tropical Ballroom with a ribbon  cutting Friday 
morning at 10:00am, put on by the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce  and the Mayor of 
Woodbury!  Come on by for it and lets have some fun!   (Bring your dance 
shoes!)  We also had a big write up in the Woodbury  Bulletin newspaper last 
Wednesday, with pictures too!  (See it framed on  our wall, or the article is online 
too).
 
This weekend is your last chance to sign up with us to go see  Swing! at the 
Chanhassen Dinner Theater on Sunday, August 3rd, dinner  at 4:30pm, show at 
6:30pm.  $41.50 includes everything, even  grituity.  We have well over 25

they're charging my card for  everyone.
 
Tropical Ballroom is located inside Valley Creek Mall, one block west off

Friday, July 25th:  Retro Ballroom's Las Vegas costume (contest)  & potluck 
(bring food) night.  (5810 W. 36th St, St. Louis Park).  Cha-Cha lesson by Jeff 
Nehrbass 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance 8:30-11:00pm.  $10 or $8 if you show a current

Saturday, July 26th:  Tango Plus  Milonga at Social Dance Studio, lesson &

Saturday, July 26th:  Havin' a  Ball singles dance at Fridley VFW.  Lesson 
7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with  The Fugitives Band 8:30pm-12:30am.  Singles & couples

Saturday, July 26th:  Contra  Dance at the Tapestry Folkdance Center 
7:30-11:30pm, $9 or $7  members.

Sunday, July 27th:  The  Percolators, Blue Stratum, Goat Busters (folk), & 
the Twin Cities Show  Chorus sing-along, perform from 1:00pm-7:00pm at the band 
shell at Lake Harriet,  celebrating the rose garden's 100th year.
