Dear Friends and Dancers: 

We would like to invite you to attend a benefit ballroom dance party held in the Hopkins ERV Dance Studio this coming Sunday.  This dance party is organized by forDanSa and is co-sponsored by USA Dance-MN and ERV Dance Studio.  We hope all of you will come to support this important fundraiser for the millions of people who have been greatly affected by the Sichuan disaster.  

On May 12, a massive earthquake, measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale, rocked the mountainous region in China's Sichuan Province, resulting in the deaths of 68,877 people-with 367,854 injured and 17,974 still missing.  In a matter of minutes, more than 5 million people were made homeless (imagine roughly the population of Minnesota).  117 aftershocks ranging from 4 - 6 on the Richter scale continued in the Sichuan area; the last quake was as recent as June 22.  It is one of the worse natural disasters in the recent history of mankind.  Many cities, towns, and villages need to be rebuilt.  

To participate in this fundraiser is easy.  Purchase the $10 admission ticket as you would in any dance party; participate in the complimentary Mambo dance lesson; enjoy and dance to the beautiful music with your fellow dancers in the newly remodeled ERV Dance Studio. 100% of the funds raised will be donated to the Sichuan Red Cross!
