Thursday, May 15th:  Ballroom  dance at Maplewood Community Center, hosted by 
James & Tricia Wood, Aaron  Wulff.  $2 per person, must register ahead of 
time- email me back and I'll  connect you with Neil.  This dance is for people 
who have taken Aaron's  ballroom classes, or will be signing up for James & 
Tricia's or Aaron's  summer sessions. 

Friday, May  16th:  Classic Ballroom (in  Four Seasons Mall: 4228 Lancaster 
Ln. N. Plymouth)- 7:10pm, two 30 min. lessons  (one beginner, one bronze & up), 
practice party from 8:00-9:00pm.  $15  per person, or $10 for party only.  
Staff available to dance with.  (1st & 3rd Fridays of every month).  (763)

Friday, May 16th:  Country Dance at Retro Ballroom of On Your  Toes (5810 W. 
36th St, St. Louis Park).  Country 2-Step lesson from  7:30-8:00pm.  Dance 
with DJ: Skip Schletz 8:00pm-12:00am, $8 per person.  (3rd Friday of every  
month). 

Friday, May 16th:  Variety Dance hosted by Shane at Cinema  Ballroom.  Lesson 
8:00-9:00pm, Social dancing 9:00pm-12:00am, $10 per  person ($6/college).  
3rd Friday of every month! 

Friday, May 16th:  SOS Club in  Oakdale- line dance lesson at 8pm, followed 
by country & swing variety  dancing.  $6. 

Friday, May 16th:  The  Percolators (old rock and country) band with pork 
chop dinner at Golden Valley  Legion, dinner at 6pm, music 7:30-11:30pm, $5.50.  
Free drink if you come  in wearing a bike helmet.  FMI, (763) 377-4252. 

Saturday, May 17th:  Congratulations Dee Wolff and Steve Krueger who will be 
getting married  this Saturday!  Instead of a typical wedding dance, we're all 
going to  Starks Saloon in Eagan for country dancing!  Cake or cupcakes will 
be  provided.  This is a regular dance DJ'd by Bob Wood.  $5  cover. 

Saturday, May 17th:  Argentine Tango dancing with Lois Donnay at  Black Dog 
Café- at Broadway & Prince Street by the Farmers Market in St.  Paul.  Lesson 
at 7:30pm, Dancing  8-12:00.  $4 per person.  Food, wine, beer available.  (3rd 
 Saturday of every month). 

Saturday, May 17th:  Alfalpha Males country/variety dance band has  changed 
their name to The Retractions and will play "a combination of  R&B/Classic Rock 
with a little bit of New Orleans, Funk and Swampy Pop  thrown in."  The 
Refractions are playing at the Eagles Club at 25th  & 25th in Mpls, 8:00pm-12:00am. 

Saturday, May 17th:  Havin’ a Ball singles dance at Bloomington  VFW to The 
Other Brothers.  Rumba lesson by Sondra Chan at 7:30pm.  Dance 8:30pm-12:30am.  
$12. 

Saturday, May 17th:  Blues band: Inside Straight at SOS Club in  Oakdale, 
Fundraiser, $8 requested admission donation, $14/couple.

Saturday, May 17th:  USA Dance’s monthly dance “with something  extra 
special.”  Location:  Classic Ballroom: in Four Seasons Mall–  4228 Lancaster Lane 
N, Plymouth, MN 55441.  All instructors are welcome to  bring their flyers and 
business cards to promote lessons to beginner through  advanced Ballroom 
dancers.

7:30-10:30pm.  $6 members, $10 nonmembers.  (1st  & 3rd Sundays of every month). 

Friday, May 23rd:  Bob Benham’s Little Big Band at Shakopee  Ballroom , 
8:00-11:00pm, $8.00 per person.

Friday, May 23rd:  MN West Coast Swing dance at B-Dale Club  (2100 N. Dale 
St, Roseville).  WCS lesson by Soleman Krebs 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ Loren 
Greenberg 8:30-12am.  $8 member/$5 nonmember.  (2nd & 4th Fridays of every 
month).

Wednesday, May 28th:  Surprise  early birthday and roast for Cindy Quinn at 
Tapestry Folkdance Center (38th  & Minnehaha, Mpls), potluck hors d'oeuvres, $5

Friday, May 30th:  Daddy Squeeze’s Gypsy Café band is playing at  the 
Tapestry Folkdance Center.  7:30-8:00pm tango lesson by Ralph Tutilla.  8:00pm dance 
will include French Musette, Gypsy Swing, Latin & Tango.  Dance music DJ’d 
during band breaks.  $9. 

Friday, May 30th:  Retro Ballroom dance, A Night in Paradise  luau potluck, 
lesson by Jeff Nehrbass 7:30-8:30pm, dance 8:30-11pm.  $10. 

Saturday, May 31st:  Alfalpha Males country/variety dance band is  playing at 
the Eagles Club at Trappers Bar & Grill (6810 Lake Dr, Lino  Lakes),

Saturday, May 31st:  The Fugitive band (Elvis, ’50s, ’60s, ’70s)  at

Wednesday, May 21st:  7:00pm  Night Club 2-Step lesson by Cindy Quinn & 
Duayne Wincell, followed by a  specialty class by Scott Anderson at 8:45pm, $10 for 
both, at the Tapestry  Folkdance Center (38th & Minnehaha in Minneapolis). 

Line Dance class at Elaine Boergerhoff’s  house in Bloomington,  Mondays for 
3 weeks starting Monday, May 5th at  7:00pm.  $5 per night.  Learn the old 
favorites still done today– Tush  Push, Boot Scootin’ Boogie, etc.  Call Elaine

SOS Club in Oakdale:  Tuesdays at  7:30pm– Intermediate level West Coast 
Swing lessons by Loren Greenberg ($6).  Wednesdays at 7:00pm- line dance lessons 
by Jody Whittman ($6).  Thursdays at 7:30pm– Beginner level West Coast Swing 
lessons by Loren  Greenberg ($7).  Fridays at 7:30pm- line dance lessons by a 
rotation of  instructors.  Variety dancing to follow.  $6 cover charge.

Tuesdays in April– West Coast Swing lessons  taught by Rebels Swing Dance

Friday & Saturday, May 16th & 17th:  Line Dance workshop weekend!  Friday- 
Pre-dance from 7-11pm.  Saturday- Award-winning Int’l instructors John Robinson 
and Bryan  McWherter from 10am-5pm, and dance 7pm-12midnight.  Held at Oakwood 
Room  and Wetlands Café of Eisenhower Community Center in Hopkins.  New this  
year– a 2nd workshop room for easier dances, and a free introductory lesson 
for  those who want to try line dancing or haven’t line danced recently.  Also–
  a “Mini within the Mini” special price for workshops in the easier room.  
$20 for workshops from 10am-12noon with John & Brian.  You can  then still

Skip & Diane Schletz will be starting a  new beginner West Coast Swing series 
on Thursdays at B-Dale Club in Roseville  starting April 17th, 7:30-9:45pm.

Beginner Ballroom Sampler Classes!  Dance with Tricia Wood at the beautiful
