Dancers Studio on Snelling Ave in St. Paul– they will no longer be using the
studio on the south side due to opening a new studio in Woodbury in late
March. Monday’s swing classes will soon be taught at the Woodbury location
instead, and Scott’s Wednesday group classes will also be canceled at the St.
Paul location. In St. Paul—Christine’s rounds class will be Thursday nights at
9pm. Michael’s Int. II Salsa will move from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesdays.
They thank you for your cooperation. Michael’s Salsa II class will be moved
from Wednesdays at 7pm to 9pm instead.

Friday, April 4th: Happy Birthday James Wood!
>From Bob Wood: To not loose country dancing at Starks Saloon, everyone must
spend at least $5 on drinks, plus tips, plus cover charge, or the owner,
Gary will cut out country nights. The bar at Starks is not making money, just
like what happened at Gatlin’s, Rodeo, and Rush.
Social Dance Studio (co-owned by Joy Davina and Todd Paulus) is opening a
new location at 3742 23rd Ave S, in Minneapolis. They are hosting a
fundraiser dance to support their remodeling and development. They are looking for
silent auction donations, people to perform dance demos, volunteers to finish
painting & laying the floor, etc. If you want to help in any way, call (612)
418-4046. The fundraiser dance is planned for April 18th. They are
working on the space currently.
Starting in April: Every Saturday and Sunday night is Salsa night at ERV
Dance Studio by Eliecer Ramirez-Vargas. Saturdays: 8pm Salsa class, 9pm-1am
dance, $5. Sundays: 6pm Salsa class, 7-11:30pm dance, $5.
James and Tricia Wood will be in their space designing and constructing
Tropical Ballroom in Woodbury by mid-May! (Anticipated Grand Opening: beginning
of June). We have not announced our location yet because we did not want to
get confused with the Dancers Studio who opened in Woodbury last week! Many
(at least a dozen) of you came up to us at their Grand Opening thinking that
was our ballroom! No, sorry! Theirs is beautiful too, but ours is called
Tropical Ballroom! More details to come! We’re sooooo excited!
Stark’s Saloon has been remodeled, expanding the dance floor to 1900 sq. ft.
Expect country & swing dance music on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and Swing
& variety on the 1st & 3rd Fridays of the month. Cover charge is $5.
Everyone must spend an additional $5 minimum at the bar, plus tips. -per Bob Wood
the DJ, and Gary the Owner.
