Friday,  March 28th:  MN West Coast Swing dance at the B-Dale  Club in 
Roseville.  WCS lesson by  Soleman Krebs 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance  with DJ Loren 
Greenberg 8:30-12am.  $8/$5.  (2nd & 4th  Fridays of every month). 
Friday,  March 28th:  ForDanSa ballroom and latin variety dance at ERV Dance  
Studio (816 Main Street, Hopkins), hosted by Daniel Lai and Lisa Wu.  Tango  
lesson at 8:00pm.  Dance 8:45-11:00pm.  $10. 
Friday,  March 28th:  Dancers Studio (Snelling Ave in St.  Paul) is opening a 
second location on the 3rd floor of the Lighting by Design  building off 
I-94, on Hudson Rd in Woodbury.  Free grand opening party from  8:00-11:00pm.  
Congratulations! 
Friday,  March 28th:  Formal-attire ballroom dance and Potluck at Retro 
Ballroom  (5810 W. 36th St, St. Louis Park).  Cha-Cha lesson at 7:30pm, dance  
8:30-11:30pm, $10. 
Fri  & Sat, March 28th & 29th:  This weekend is the last of Babalu  
Restuarant (800 Washington, Mpls) having live Salsa music.  They are  switching to live 
jazz bands. 
Sat  & Sun, March 29th & 30th:  The Dance Extravaganza at Cinema  Ballroom 
(1560 St. Clair, St. Paul), showcase dancing being critiqued by judges,  
seminars, and dancing.  Packages available including entry fees, dinner,  and more.  
Spectator tickets range by day/time/package from $10-$40.   FMI call

Saturday,  March 29th:  Dance party by Joy Kokaisel. at Retro Ballroom (5810 
W.  36th, St, St. Louis Park), open to all.  Country, swing, and variety DJ:  
Skip Schletz.  $6 per person.  7:30-11:30pm.   BYOB. 
Saturday,  March 29th:  Tango & variety dance at ERV Dance Studio (816  
Mainstreet, Hopkins), sponsored by Dan Griggs, lesson taught by Lois Donnay at  
8:00pm, dance DJ'd by Steve Lee 9:00pm, $10.  FMI, call Dan at (612)  281-1953. 
Sunday,  March 30th:  Dancing to band and DJ at MN Music Cafe,  7-11:30pm.

GUEST  COACHES/ANNOUNCEMENTS: 
Mini  Dance Camp at Classic Ballroom in Plymouth with guest coach Jean-Marc 
Genereux  from TV’s Championship  Ballroom Dancing  and So  You Think You Can 
Dance.  Tues. March 25th at 7:10pm– Use of arms  and hands in Latin & Rhythm 
(for men and women), 8:00pm Amer. Rumba, &  Wed. March 26th at 7:10pm 
Performance skills for showcases and competitions,  8:00pm East Coast Swing.  All four

Dancers  Studio on Snelling Ave in St. Paul– they will no longer be using the 
studio on  the south side due to opening a new studio in Woodbury in late 
March.  Monday’s swing classes will soon be  taught at the Woodbury location 
instead, and Scott’s Wednesday group classes  will also be canceled at the St. 
Paul location.  In St. Paul—Christine’s rounds class  will be Thursday nights at 
9pm.  Michael’s Int. II Salsa will be at 9pm on Wednesdays.  They thank you 
for your  cooperation. 
Friday  & Saturday, May 16th & 17th:  Line Dance workshop weekend!  Friday- 
Pre-dance from 7-11pm.  Saturday- Award-winning Int’l instructors John Robinson 
and Bryan  McWherter from 10am-5pm, and dance 7pm-12midnight.  Held at 
Oakwood Room and Wetlands Café  of Eisenhower Community Center in Hopkins.  New this 
year– a 2nd workshop room for easier dances, and a free  introductory lesson 
for those who want to try line dancing or haven’t line  danced recently.  Also–
 a “Mini  within the Mini” special price for workshops in the easier room.  
$20 for workshops from 10am-12noon with  John & Brian.  You can then  still 
upgrade to the weekend pass.  Early bird price: $40 for the whole weekend if

Thursday,  March 27: Second open meeting by Rebels Swing Dance Club– review 
of previous  feedback from last December, introduction of the new Board, 
discussion on moving  locations, defining the new goal and mission statement of the 
club, etc. at  Davanni’s Pizza- 663 Winnetka, Golden Valley, 7pm.  *Open to 
the public. 
Sunday,  May 4th:  USA Dance sponsors annual Tea Dance with  music by Pete 
Maki & Joyce Thompson at Lafayette Country Club  (Wayzata/Minnetonka Beach).  
$30 for  brunch and dance (starting at 11am), or $20 dance only (1:00-4:00).  
Tickets: Dede Ouren, 651-452-4340.  For brunch, tickets must be  reserved by 
April 28th.
