Wednesday,  March 12th:  The Eagles Club (25th & 25th in  Mpls)- The Butanes 
band 7:45-10:30pm. 
Thursday–Sunday,  Mar. 13th-16th:  Beyond Ballroom Dance Company returns to  
the Southern Theater with choreography of Jean Marc Genereaux (So  You Think 
You Can Dance),  Gary Pierce (former U.S. Ballroom Champion from Nashville), 
and Minneapolis’ own  Scott Anderson.  Show times  Thurs-Sat. 8pm.  Sat. also at 
5pm.  Sun. at 2pm & 7pm.  (James and I  will be at the Sunday 2pm show 
watching!)  Tickets are $24 plus $2 bldg pres. Fee.  Discounts available to seniors,

Friday,  March 14th:  Café Bailar (Ballroom & Latin  variety) dance at Retro 
Ballroom of On Your Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th  Street, St. Louis 
Park, MN 55416).  Samba lesson by James & Tricia Wood 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with 
D.J. David Olson  8:30-midnight.  $8/$10. 

Friday,  March 14th:  MN West Coast Swing dance at the B-Dale  Club in 
Roseville.  WCS lesson by  Larry Ablin & Barb Johnson 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ 
Loren Greenberg  8:30-12am.  $8/$5.  (2nd & 4th Fridays of every  month). 
Friday,  March 14th:  Rockin’ Hollywood’s (‘50s-’70s band) at  Withrow 
Ballroom in Hugo, music at 8:30pm, $8 per person. 
Friday,  March 14th:  Steak or fish dinner 6-8pm, Dance to Red  Eye Flight 
band 7:30-11:30pm, Golden Valley American Legion: 200 Lilac Dr N  (Glenwood &

Friday,  March 14th:  Tim Sigler country band at Blue Fox (at  694 & 
Lexington) from 9:30pm-1:30am. 
Friday,  March 14th:  Alfalpha Males country band at Schooner  Tavern,

Friday,  March 14th:  SOS Club in Oakdale– line dance lesson  at 7:30pm, 
followed by country & swing variety dancing,  $6. 
Saturday,  March 15th:  A one-time-only  Saturday night Country Dance Party 
at ERV Dance Studio!  7:30pm Night Club 2-Step lesson by James  & Tricia Wood, 
8:00-11:30pm Country variety dance with Skip & Diane  Schletz.  $10 per person 
(we’ll  provide water).  Directions: Hwy 169  north or south to Excelsior 
Blvd.  Exit Excelsior and turn right.  Turn right on 8th Ave So. Then turn left 
on or before Mainstreet to  park.  Come upstairs.  (It’s a one-time only dance 
at this  location because James & Tricia are spending their time preparing for 
their  own studio soon in Woodbury). 
Saturday,  March 15th:  USA Dance monthly ballroom dance held at  Dancers 
Studio (99 Snelling Ave N), St. Paul.  Volunteer Appreciation Dance– if you  
volunteered in 2007, get in free!  Light food provided.  Lesson  7-8pm, Dance 
8-11pm.  $10, $7,  $5. 
Saturday,  March 15th:  Rhythm Junkies R & B band at Medina  Ballroom, TGIS 
dance.  Lesson  7:30pm, Dance at 8:30pm, $12 per person. 
Saturday,  March 15th:  Multi-band Benefit Dance at Fridley VFW,  
4:00pm-12:00am.  (Kids are welcome  until 8pm).  Brett Michael &  Western Breeze country 
band will be playing from 9-9:50pm.  This dance benefit’s Brett’s friend’s  
baby girl with health issues. 
Saturday,  March 15th:  Alfalpha Males country band at the  Eagles Club (at 
25th & 25th), 8:00pm, 612-729-4469. 
Saturday,  March 15th:  Teen band day at SOS Club in Oakdale,  followed by DJ 
dancing for dancers starting around 9:00pm. 
Sunday,  March 16th:  Rebels Swing Dance Club’s west coast  swing dance at 
the Eagles Club (at 25th & 25th) in Minneapolis.  Lesson by Lynette Schwickerath 
at  7:00pm.  Dance with DJ Gail  Zimmerman 7:30-10:30pm.  $6 members,  $10 
nonmembers.  (1st & 3rd  Sundays of every month). 
Monday,  March 17th:  West Coast Swing & variety St. Pat’s  Day Dance with 
Loren Greenberg at the SOS Club in Oakdale.  No cover, donations appreciated.

second location on the 3rd floor of the Lighting by Design  building off 
I-94, on Hudson Rd in Woodbury.  Free grand opening party from  8:00-11:00pm.

Friday  & Saturday, May 16th & 17th:  Line Dance workshop weekend!  Friday- 
Pre-dance from 7-11pm.  Saturday- Award-winning Int’l instructors John Robinson 
and Bryan  McWherter from 10am-5pm, and dance 7pm-12midnight.  Held at 
Oakwood Room and Wetlands Café  of Eisenhower Community Center in Hopkins.  New this 
year– a 2nd workshop room for easier dances, and a free  introductory lesson 
for those who want to try line dancing or haven’t line  danced recently.  Also–
 a “Mini  within the Mini” special price for workshops in the easier room.  
$20 for workshops from 10am-12noon with  John & Brian.  You can then  still 
upgrade to the weekend pass.  Early bird price: $40 for the whole weekend if
