1. TONIGHT (Wed., Feb. 13), NOT ON FEB. 16:  DAN NEWTON (Daddy Squeeze, he is also with Cafe Accordian) has a CD release party of rootsy collection of blues, rock, zydeco at Varsity Theatre, 8 pm, $10-12.

2. Friday, Feb. 15 - COUNTRY/ SWING DANCE PARTY at Retro Ballroom, 5810 W. 36th St., St. Louis Park, 952-928-7803, 7:30 - co. 2-step lesson, DJ Skip Schletz, music 8:00-12, $8, every 3rd Friday.

2. There is NO Havin a Ball Club dance party on Sat., Feb. 16.
