Thursday,  January 17th:   Wabasha Street Caves in St. Paul has Christine 
Rosholt with Beasley’s Big  Band. 
Thursday,  January 17th:   Newcomer Night at Dancers Studio (99 Snelling Ave 
N, St. Paul)– all beginner new  people get in free for lessons all night. 
Friday,  January 18th:    Country & Swing Dance at On Your Toes, St. Louis 
Park.  Country 2-Step  lesson from 7:30-8:00pm.  Open dancing with DJ: Skip 
Schletz  8:00pm-12:00am, $8 per person.  (3rd Friday of every month).  OYT is  
providing a large sheet cake to celebrate the multiple birthdays this  evening!  
It’s Elaine Boergerhoff’s birthday, along with about 4 others who  will be 
here!  The dance this month will be in the front OYT ballroom, but  please come 
in the back Retro door.  More tables and chairs will be set up  tonight.   
Friday,  January 18th:   Classic Ballroom (Plymouth) hosts a Newcomer Night, 
7:10pm, two 30 min. beginner  lessons, practice party from 8:10-8:40pm.  $15 
per person, or you’re in  free if you bring a guest!  (1st & 3rd Fridays of 
every  month). 
Friday,  January 18th:  Juke  Box Heroes band at Blue Moon Ballroom in 
Rochester.  Lesson 7:30pm, Dancing  8-11:00pm.   
Saturday,  January 19th:   Argentine Tango with Lois Donnay at Black Dog Café 
in St. Paul.  Lesson at  7:30pm, Dancing 8-12:00.  $4 per person.  (3rd 
Saturday of every  month). 
Saturday,  January 19th:   Alfalpha Males country variety band is playing at 
the Eagles Club (at 25th &  25th in Minneapolis), 8:00pm. 
Saturday,  January 19th:  USA  Dance’s monthly dance “with something extra 
special.”  Held in both the  Retro Ballroom and the On Your  Toes Ballroom.  
All instructors are welcome to bring their flyers and  business cards to promote 
lessons to beginner through advanced Ballroom  dancers.  FMI, call Tricia 
at(612) 600-5129.  All lessons this evening  will be taught by James Wood. 
Retro  Ballroom (regular monthly dance): 
7:00-8:00  Bolero lesson 
8:00-11:00  Regular monthly dance 
On  Your Toes Ballroom (something extra special included): 
8:00-8:30  beginner level Rumba lesson 
8:30-9:00  open practice/coaching questions 
9:00-9:30  beginner level Waltz lesson 
9:30-10:00  open practice/coaching questions  
10:00-10:30  beginner level Tango lesson 
10:30-11:00  open practice/coaching questions  
$10 per  person includes everything!  Or, $7 for USA Dance members.  $5 for  
ages 25 & under. 
Sunday,  January 20th:   Betty Ernst’s Birthday Dance at Medina Ballroom (4 
miles west of 494 on Hwy  55)!  (This is always so much fun!)  Open to all 
dancers, Free!   2:00-6:00pm.  There will be a zydecco dance lesson and demo. 
Variety dance  music.  No gifts please.  Cash bar. 
Sunday,  January 20th:   Rebels Swing Dance Club’s west coast swing dance at 
the Eagles Club (at 25th  & 25th) in Minneapolis.  Lesson at 7:15pm.  Dance  
7:40-10:30pm.  $6 members, $10 nonmembers.  (1st & 3rd Sundays of  every 
month).

Park) monthly ballroom dance  party.  Lesson 7:30-8:30pm.  Dancing 8:30-11:00pm.  
$10 or $8 if  you show a current dance club membership card.  (4th Friday of 
every  month).  
Friday,  January 25th:  MN  West Coast Swing dance at the B-Dale Club in 
Roseville.  Lesson  7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ Loren Greenberg 8:30-12am.  $8/$5. 
  (2nd & 4th Fridays of every month). 
Friday,  January 25th:   Ballroom dance at Classic Ballroom (Plymouth), 
lesson at 7:10pm, dance  7:40-9:00pm, $15 per person.  (2nd & 4th Fridays of every  
month). 
Friday,  January 25th:   Fuego Latin and Caribbean dance band at Blue Moon 
Ballroom in Rochester.   Lesson 7:30pm, Dancing 8pm-12am. 
Saturday,  January 26th:  Café  Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at 
Retro Ballroom of On Your Toes  School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street, St. Louis 
Park, MN 55416).  Lesson  7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with D.J. David Olson 
8:30-midnight.   $8/$10. 
Saturday,  January 26th:   Mardi Gras Cajun Dance, 6:15-11:30pm (includes 
Cajun dance lesson), at Withrow  Ballroom in Hugo, three bands: the New Riverside 
Ramblers, Jumbo Ya Ya, and Dick  & Jane’s Big Brass Band.  $14 Krewe de 
Walleye members, $18  nonmembers.  Come early to taste Louisiana food.  Cash bar.   
Lesson 6:30-7:15pm.  Wear a costume for a chance to win a prize!
