Friday, January 11th: Café Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at
Retro Ballroom of On Your Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street, St. Louis
Park, MN 55416). Foxtrot lesson by Tom & Anne LaTourelle 7:30-8:30pm. Dance
with D.J. David Olson 8:30-midnight. $8 members/$10 nonmembers. Lesson is
always free with admission.
Friday, January 11th: The Narrows North in Maple Grove, Tom Sigler band,
$5 cover charge, band starts at 9pm, or go early for dinner and pay no cover.
This is where Skip & Diane are going!
Friday, January 11th: MN West Coast Swing dance at the B-Dale Club in
Roseville. Lesson by Joy Davina and Todd Paulus 7:30-8:30pm. Dance with DJ
Loren Greenberg 8:30-12am. $8/$5. (2nd & 4th Fridays of every month).
Friday, January 11th: Ballroom dance at Classic Ballroom (Plymouth),
lesson at 7:10pm, dance 7:40-9:00pm, $15 per person. (2nd & 4th Fridays of every
month).
Friday, January 11th: Caribbean & Latin dance music at Blue Moon Ballroom
in Rochester. Lesson 7:30pm, Dancing 8pm-12am.
Friday, January 11th: Alfalpha Males country dance band is playing at the
Cambridge American Legion, 8:00pm. (This is their first time playing at this
location).
Saturday, January 12th: Snowball (Ballroom and Latin) one-day Competition
at Double Tree Park Place Hotel (1500 Park Place Blvd), St. Louis Park. If
you need a hairdresser or makeup artist, contact Jillian at (612) 978-1151.
Dance order for the day: Latin approx. 7:30-8:30pm, Rhythm 8:30-lunch, Solos
followed by Standard around 1:00pm, Smooth approx. 2:00pm. For up to date

Saturday, January 12th: Mandragora Tango Orchestra with local dancer,
Florencia Taccetti are performing at Hopkins Center for the Arts at 7:30pm.

Saturday, January 12th: Country Band High Noon and DJ Skip Schletz at
Withrow Ballroom. Skip & Diane are teaching Country 2-Step from 7:30-8:30pm.
Dance 8:30pm-12:30am. $8 per person. Skip will DJ during band breaks. Huge
beautiful floor, full bar, great dancing!
Saturday, January 12th: Tango Society of MN hosts their Argentine Tango
dance at Retro Ballroom of On Your Toes. Lesson 8:00-9:00pm, Dance
9:00pm-1:00am. (2nd Saturday of every month).
Sunday, January 13th: Salsa night with Charanga Tropical Band at Varsity
Theater (1308 4th Street SE, Mpls, next to Loring Pasta Bar), 9pm, $10 cover
charge. (2nd Sunday of every month).
Sunday, January 13th: Dancing at MN Music Café (MMC) 7:30-10:30pm, country
band Bobby Vandell. Band breaks DJ’d by Gentleman Jim, as well as
10:30-11pm.
Sunday, January 13th: Jerry O’Hagan Orchestra at Cinema Ballroom– good
ballroom dance music. 6:15pm lesson, 7pm dance. $12 adult, $8 college.

Rosholt with Beasley’s Big Band.
Thursday, January 17th: Newcomer Night at Dancers Studio (99 Snelling Ave
N, St. Paul)– all beginner new people get in free for lessons all night.
Friday, January 18th: Country & Swing Dance at the Retro Ballroom of On
Your Toes, St. Louis Park. Country 2-Step lesson from 7:30-8:00pm. Open
dancing with DJ: Skip Schletz 8:00pm-12:00am, $8 per person. (3rd Friday of
every month).
Friday, January 18th: Classic Ballroom (Plymouth) hosts a Newcomer Night,
7:10pm, two 30 min. beginner lessons, practice party from 8:10-8:40pm. $15
per person, or you’re in free if you bring a guest! (1st & 3rd Fridays of
every month).
Friday, January 18th: Juke Box Heroes band at Blue Moon Ballroom in
Rochester. Lesson 7:30pm, Dancing 8-11:00pm.
Saturday, January 19th: Argentine Tango with Lois Donnay at Black Dog Café
in St. Paul. Lesson at 7:30pm, Dancing 8-12:00. $4 per person. (3rd
Saturday of every month).
Saturday, January 19th: Alfalpha Males country variety band is playing at
the Eagles Club (at 25th & 25th in Minneapolis), 8:00pm.
Saturday, January 19th: USA Dance’s monthly dance “with something extra
special.” Held in both the Retro Ballroom and the On Your Toes Ballroom.
All instructors are welcome to bring their flyers and business cards to promote
lessons to beginner through advanced Ballroom dancers. FMI, call Tricia

$10 per person includes everything! Or, $7 for USA Dance members. $5 for
ages 25 & under.
Sunday, January 20th: Betty Ernst’s Birthday Dance at Medina Ballroom (4
miles west of 494 on Hwy 55)! (This is always so much fun!) Open to all
dancers, Free! 2:00-6:00pm. Variety dance music by Gail Zimmerman. No gifts
please. Cash bar.
Sunday, January 20th: Rebels Swing Dance Club’s west coast swing dance at
the Eagles Club (at 25th & 25th) in Minneapolis. Lesson at 7:15pm. Dance
7:40-10:30pm. $6 members, $10 nonmembers. (1st & 3rd Sundays of every
month).
