Starks  Saloon off of Hwy 55 & Dodd Rd will start Country dance nights on  
Wednesdays, first dance being on Jan. 9th, 7:30pm, $3 cover, DJ Bob Wood.   Do 
not bring in water or food (purchase there to keep cover charge prices  down). 
January  26—February 2nd, 2008, “Liberty of the Seas” dance cruise to the 
Western  Caribbean with the Dancers Studio of St. Paul.  The cruise includes  
lessons, workshops, dance parties, and games.  Reserve now! 
Friday,  December 28th:   Alfalpha Males country variety band is playing at 
Schooner Tavern (2903 27th Ave  S, Minneapolis), 9:00pm. 
Saturday,  December 29th:   Rhythm Junkies at Medina Ballroom (TGIS Dance), 
Lesson 7:30pm, Dance 8:30pm,  $10. 
Saturday,  December 29th:   Alfalpha Males country variety band is playing at 
the Eagles Club (at 25th &  25th in Minneapolis), 8:00pm. 
Saturday,  December 29th:   Christine Rosholt and dance band are playing at 
the Dakota County Music Café in  Burnsville, 8pm-12am. 
Saturday,  December 29th:   Havin’ a Ball singles dance at the VFW in 
Bloomington.  Lesson 7:30pm,  Dancing with the Castaways band 8:30-12:30.  $12 per 
person.  Theme  tonight:  Tropical Pre-New Year’s. 
Saturday,  December 29th:  TGIS  (Thank God I’m Single) dance at Medina 
Entertainment Center, Rhythm Junkies band  (70’s to present) starts at 8:30pm, $12 
per person.  Cha-Cha lesson first  at 7:30pm by Larry Ablin and Barb Johnson. 
Sunday,  December 30th:  Hats  & Mittens Benefit (Piano reception, dance 
lesson, silent and live auctions,  dinner, and dance to band Synergy) at Marriot 
SW, off Hwy 169.  Starts at  6pm.  Black tie attire admired.

Monday,  December 31st:  NEW  YEAR’S EVE 
Shakopee  Ballroom— Formal  buffer dinner 6:00-8:00pm, 50s-60s big band music 
by Don Riggs 8:15pm-12:30am,  hors d’ oeuvres, continental breakfast at 
10:30pm, champagne, noise makers,  hats, and door prizes at midnight.  Dinner, 
dance, breakfast $35 per person  –or- Dance and breakfast $25 per person before 
Dec. 26th.  Prices are $40  & $30 at the door.  Donna (952) 445-0412. 
Medina  Ballroom— Johnny  Holm Band and the Blind Pig Band.  Doors open at 7, 
Music 8pm-1am.   Party favors included, $30 per person. 
Withrow  Ballroom— (in Hugo,  MN near Stillwater) Rockin’ Hollywoods at 
Withrow Ballroom.  $40 per person  includes buffet from 7-9pm, music/dancing at 
8:30pm, champagne toast at  midnight. 
MN  West Coast Swing Dance Club— held at  the B-Dale Club in Roseville from 
9:00pm-1:00am.  Dancing to DJ: Loren  Greenberg.  Club provides meat, cheese, 
buns, and coffee.  Other  snacks welcome.  Champagne toast (and non-alcoholic 
drinks) at  midnight.  $5 members, $8 nonmembers.   
Blue  Moon Ballroom— 2 O'clock  Jump (swing, jazz, blues) band in Rochester.  
Swing lesson 8:00-8:30pm,  Dancing 8:30-12:30.  $10/$12/$15. 
Classic  Ballroom— (in  Plymouth, MN) White Tie and Diamonds New Year’s Eve 
ball, 7:30-1230.   Appetizers, desserts, midnight toast, party hats, 
noisemakers, and a show.   $45 per person, (pre-reserve over the phone with credit 
card). 
Dancers  Studio— (in St.  Paul, MN) Dancing, games, professional show, hors d’
oeuvres champagne,  9:00pm-12:00am.  $35 in advance, $40 at the door.  
(Additional $10 for  reserved seating). 
SOS  Club— (in  Oakdale, MN), variety dance, 8pm, alcohol-free event.  $6 
admission is a  tax-deductible donation. 
Cinema  Ballroom— (in St.  Paul, MN) Jerry O’Hagan ballroom orchestra, 
8:00pm-12:30pm.  $50 in  advance, $70 at the door (per person), includes champagne 
toast, hors d’ oeuvres  and desserts from Cosetta’s, cash bar. 
Inn  Kahoots— (45 Hamel  Rd in Hamel, MN), 9:30pm Alfalpha Males country rock 
variety dance band, no  cover charge. 

Eagles  Club— (at 25th  & 25th in Minneapolis), Blues dancing to Willie 
Murphy & the Angel  Headed Hipsters.  Join Lois Donnay’s group, 612-822-8436. 
Kato  Ballroom— (in  Mankato, MN), Richie Lee & Fabulous 50’s & 60’s Buddy

Every  Wednesday:   Latin Nightclub dance classes by James Wood at Retro 
Ballroom of On Your Toes,  St. Louis Park.  $15 per class or buy 6 for $60.

1/9/08 &  1/16/08:  7:00pm Beginner level Salsa; 8:00pm Int/Adv. Salsa 
1/23/08  & 1/30/08:  7:00pm Beginner level Cha-Cha; 8:00pm Int/Adv.  Salsa 
2/6/08 &  2/13/08:  7:00pm Beginner level Bachata; 8:00pm Int/Adv. Salsa 
Mondays (6 weeks)  starting in January:  Intermediate/Advanced Country 2-Step 
group class at  Retro Ballroom of On Your Toes, St. Louis Park, taught by 
Owen Seeley at 7:00pm,  followed by a one-hour practice party at 8pm.  $120 per 
couple for the 6  weeks.  Must have previous 2-Step experience to register. 
Lessons at  the SOS Club in Oakdale–  
Fridays:   Line Dance lessons with Rose Lemmer 7:30-8:30pm, followed by open 
dancing, $6  per person 
Mondays:   Beginner West Coast Swing 7:30pm (taught by Loren Greenberg) 
Tuesdays:   Advanced West Coast Swing 7:30pm (taught by Loren G.)  $6.00 
Saturdays:   Country 2-Step lesson at 7:30pm.  
Intro to  Argentine Tango in Owatonna by Brian & Lynette Dawley– Tuesdays for 
6 weeks  starting on Feb. 12th, 7:00-8:30pm (through Owatonna Community Ed).
