Wednesday, November 28th: Dancing at the Eagles Club (at 25th & 25th in
Minneapolis), music by the Butanes from 7:45-10:15pm.
Thursday, November 29th: Thanksgiving Potluck (home cooked or store
bought) party & dance at Classic Ballroom, Plymouth. 8:10-9:45pm. $15 per person.

Friday, November 30th: G.B. Leighton and band Boon Dawgs at Medina
Ballroom, 8:30pm. $10.
Friday, November 30th: Lamont Cranston Blues Band at Withrow Ballroom.
Saturdays (new) - Salsa at Picosa, located at Riverplace. Lesson, live
music, great food. (This is all the info I have on it so far).
Saturday, December 1st: Metro Variety Dance at The Retro Ballroom of On
Your Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), St. Louis Park. Lessons
*7:15-8:00pm (Beg. West Coast Swing by Kathy Compo in one ballroom. Int/Adv. West
Coast Swing by Caroline Olson in the other ballroom!) Dance with DJ: David
Olson in the Retro Ballroom from 8:00-11:00pm . $7 per person.
Saturday, December 1st: Blue Moon Ballroom in Rochester hosts an
Anniversary and Christmas Dance with Swing Street Big Band. Swing lesson 7:30-8pm,
Dance 8-11:00pm. $10.
Saturday, December 1st: Havin’ a Ball singles dance at the Niesen Brothers
(4851 W. 123rd Street in Savage). East Coast Swing lesson by Dave Ahrens
from the Cave’s 7:30-8:30pm, Dance with band: City Lights 8:30pm-12:30am. $12
per person. This is their One year anniversary, with Toys for Tots drive.
Saturday, December 1st: Cinema Ballroom’s winter showcase, 7:00-11:00pm,
$15 in advance or $20 at the door.
Sunday, December 2nd: Rebels Swing Dance Club’s west coast swing dance at
the Eagles Club (at 25th & 25th) in Minneapolis. Lesson at 7:15pm. Dance
7:40-10:30pm. $6 members, $10 nonmembers. (1st & 3rd Sundays of every
month).
Sunday, December 2nd: Velvet Brass (Ballroom with swing emphasis),
4:00-8:00pm. $10 or season membership for $60. (320) 763– 6432.

Friday, December 7th: Retro Ballroom’s monthly ballroom dance party.

Saturday, December 8th: Tango Society of MN is hosting their dance in the
On Your Toes front ballroom (5810 W. 36th Street, St. Louis Park). Lesson
8:00-9:00pm, Dance to a live tango orchestra 9:00pm-1:00am!
Saturday, December 8th: Champion Ballroom’s Grand Opening (new location,
formerly Foster’s Dancesport Studio in Hopkins), now at 550 Market St.,
Chanhassen, MN 55317. 6:30pm-12:00am, special performances by champions they have
coached over the past 20 years, hors d‘oeuvres, main ballroom is 4,000 sq.
ft. of the 11,000 sq. feet total between 3 ballrooms! (952) 934-2160.
Saturday, December 8th: 3M Dance Club’s Holiday Dance at the Polish
American Club (1003 Arcade St), St. Paul. 7:30pm Night Club 2-Step lesson by
Duayne Wincell & Cindy Quinn. 8:30-12:00 Ballroom/Swing variety dance with DJ
Loren Greenberg. Free to 3M Dance Club members, $12 nonmembers. Holiday
treats provided.
Saturday, December 8th: Johnny Owen Big Band Dinner & Dance at Withrow
Ballroom. $27 per person, doors open at 6pm. $10 for dance only at 8pm.
Saturday, December 8th: Retro Ballroom with On Your Toes School of Dance
presents a modern version of the Nutcracker (ballroom, jazz, hip hop, ballet,
tap and more) held at Olson Middle School theater in Bloomington. Two
shows: 11:00am and 2:00pm. Limited seats available yet, so call (952) 928-7803 to
reserve.
Sunday, December 9th: Salsa night with Charanga Tropical Band at Varsity
Theater (1308 4th Street SE, Mpls, next to Loring Pasta Bar), 9pm, $10 cover
charge. (2nd Sunday of every month).
Friday, December 14th: Café Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at
Retro Ballroom of On Your Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street, St. Louis
Park, MN 55416). Lesson 7:30-8:30pm. Dance with D.J. David Olson
8:30-midnight. $8/$10.
Friday, December 14th: MN West Coast Swing Dance Club’s Holiday Dance held
at Murzyn Hall in Columbia Heights. 7:30-12:00 dancing to DJ: Loren
Greenberg, (no lesson). with catered lasagna buffer dinner. $15 nonmembers, $10
members. Additional monetary donations encouraged to St. Joseph’s Home for
Children. (Future note: The 4th Friday of the month dance will instead be on
New Year’s Eve, held at B-Dale Club).
Friday, December 14th: Holiday Fete—Christmas and Hanukkah Dance and food
at Classic Ballroom in Plymouth from 8:30-9:45pm. $15 per person.
Friday, December 14th: The Classics (50’s-80’s music) at Medina Ballroom,
9:30pm.
Friday-Sunday, December 14-16th: “All Wrapped Up,” a fun-filled holiday
ride- dance show at the E. M. Pearson Theater, Concordia University, St. Paul.
Local ballroom, jazz, hip, hop, and lyrical dancers, singers, and actors
will perform multiple shows. Presented by MN PerformDance Productions.

Osborne Rd.) Fridley, to the Sugar Tree band. Lesson 7:30pm, Dance 8:30-12:30.

Thursday, December 20th: Christine Rosholt and the Beasley’s Big Band are
performing at Wabasha Street Caves in St. Paul, 7-10pm, $7.

Saturday, December 29th: Christine Rosholt and dance band are playing at
the Dakota County Music Café in Burnsville, 8pm-12am.
Saturday, December 29th: Havin’ a Ball singles dance at the VFW in
Bloomington. Lesson 7:30pm, Dancing with the Castaways band 8:30-12:30. $12 per
person. Theme tonight: Tropical Pre-New Year’s.
Tuesday, December 31st: NEW YEAR’S EVE
Shakopee Ballroom— Formal buffer dinner 6:00-8:00pm, 50s-60s big band music
by Don Riggs 8:15pm-12:30am, hors d’ oeuvres, continental breakfast at
10:30pm, champagne, noise makers, hats, and door prizes at midnight. Dinner,
dance, breakfast $35 per person –or- Dance and breakfast $25 per person before
Dec. 26th. Prices are $40 & $30 at the door. Donna (952) 445-0412.
Medina Ballroom— Johnny Holm Band and the Blind Pig Band. Doors open at 7,
Music at 8pm. Party favors included, $29 per person.
Withrow Ballroom— Rockin’ Hollywoods at Withrow Ballroom. $40 per person
includes buffet from 7-9pm, music/dancing at 8:30pm, champagne toast at
midnight.
MN West Coast Swing Dance Club— held at the B-Dale Club in Roseville from
9:00pm-1:00am. Dancing to DJ: Loren Greenberg. Club provides meat, cheese,
buns, and coffee. Other snacks welcome. Champagne toast (and non-alcoholic
drinks) at midnight. $5 members, $8 nonmembers.
Blue Moon Ballroom— 2 O'clock Jump (swing, jazz, blues) band in Rochester.
Swing lesson 8:00-8:30pm, Dancing 8:30-12:30. $10/$12/$15.
Classic Ballroom— White Tie and Diamonds New Year’s Eve ball, 7:30-1230.
Appetizers, desserts, midnight toast, party hats, noisemakers, and a show.
$45 per person, (pre-reserve over the phone with credit card).
Tapestry Folkdance Center— Potluck dinner at 6:30pm (beverages provided).
Couples dancing and Contra dancing in big space; International dancing in
small space, at 8:15pm. $12/$10/$6, all ages welcome.
