Thursday,  November 15th:   Newcomer Night– an evening designed for people 
new to partner dancing.   Free intro lessons in 4 social dance styles at 8:00pm, 
followed by an open  practice party.  Free!  Dancers Studio:  99 Snelling Ave 
N, St.  Paul. 
Friday,  November 16th:   Country & Swing Dance at the Retro Ballroom of On 
Your Toes School of Dance  (5810 W. 36th Street, St. Louis Park, MN 55416).  
Country 2-Step lesson  from 7:30-8:00pm.  Open dancing with DJ: Skip Schletz 
8:00pm-12:00am, $8  per person.  (3rd Friday of every month). 
Friday,  November 16th:   Ballroom practice dance party hosted by Sondra Chan 
at Lifetime Fitness (98th  Street, near 35W), Bloomington.  Lesson at 7pm, 
dance 7:30-10:00pm.   $10 per person.  (3rd Friday of every month). 
Friday,  November 16th:   Variety dance at Cinema Ballroom (Snelling Ave, St. 
Paul).  Group lesson  8:00pm, Dance 9pm-12am.  $10 per person.  (3rd Friday 
of every  month). 
Friday,  November 16th:   Julie Lee and the White Rose Band (country, big 
band, old time waltz and polka,  ‘50s), 7:00-11:00pm at the Lakeside Ballroom in 
Glenwood.  (No  jeans.)  $10 per person or $60 for season membership.  (320)

Saturday,  November 17th:  USA  Dance held at the Dancers Studio (99 Snelling 
Ave N), St. Paul.  Rumba  lesson by Modie Chehouri 7:00-8:00pm, Dance 
8:00-11:00pm.   $10/$7/$5. 
Saturday,  November 17th:   Country variety dance night at the Rush Nightclub 
in Cottage Grove.  DJs:  Gentleman Jim and Bob Wood.  Doors open at 8:00pm, 
drink specials  9:00pm-close.  (The DJ booth has been moved off the dance floor 
again,  lights are up, smoke-free, new manager is Brian).  I have a “half-off 
your  entry” email coupon if you want it. 
Saturday,  November 17th:   Havin’ a Ball singles dance at the VFW in 
Bloomington.  Lesson is Foxtrot  by Esther from Rendezvous Studio 7:30pm, Dancing 
with the Rockin’ Hollywoods  swing/variety band 8:30-12:30.  $12 per person.  
Theme tonight:   Sadie Hawkins (girls asks boy), dress as Can-Can dancer, 
Victorian Ball gown,  outlaws, cowpunchers in coveralls and plaid shirts, Indians, 
Sunday School  teachers, or preachers! 
Sunday,  November 18th:   Rebels Swing Dance Club’s west coast swing dance at 
the Eagles Club (at 25th  & 25th) in Minneapolis.  Lesson by David Haas and 
Julie Zurambo at  7:15pm.  Dance with DJ Erica Berg 7:40-10:30pm.  $6 members, 
$10  nonmembers.  (1st & 3rd Sundays of every month). 
Wednesday,  November 21st:   Dustin Evans country band playing at the Rush 
Nightclub in Cottage Grove.   DJ’d country dance music played during band 
breaks. 
Saturday,  November 24th:  Café  Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at 
The Retro Ballroom of On Your  Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), St. 
Louis Park, MN 55416.   Argentine Tango lesson by Dan Larson 7:30-8:30pm.  
Dance with D.J. David  Olson 8:30-midnight.  $8/$10.  *Special treat tonight—come 
watch the  Sleigh Belle Dancers give a holiday performance! 
Sunday,  November 25th:   Salsa night with Charanga Tropical Band at Varsity 
Theater (1308 4th Street SE,  Mpls, next to Loring Pasta Bar), 9pm, $8 cover 
charge.  (2nd & 4th  Sundays of every month). 
Thursday,  November 29th:   Thanksgiving Potluck (home cooked or store 
bought) party & dance at Classic  Ballroom, Plymouth.  8:10-9:45pm.  $15 per person.
