Thur., Nov. 1

MONSTER MASH BALLROOM BASH at Classic Ballroom, Plymouth, On Co. Rd. 9 west off Hwy. 169 inside the north end of Four Seasons Mall, 763-519-1314, classicballroomdance.com.  The dance actually runs from 7:30 - 9:30. Prizes will be given for the best male, female, animal and vegetable costumes.

Foster's Dance Sport in Hopkins is now closed.  It is open in Chanhassen under the name Champion Ballroom on Market St. as I said before in my Monday newsletter.


Fri., Nov. 2
BALLROOM/VARIETY DANCE at Retro Ballroom/On Your Toes, 5810 W. 36th St., St. Louis Park 55416, 952-928-7803, onyourtoes.org, 7:30 waltz lesson by champions Stephen and Jennifer Hillier from London, 8:30 - 11 pm dancing to different music in BOTH BALLROOMS, (each first Friday), $10/$8.


BALLROOM PARTY at Cheek to Cheek IS NOT having appetizers or an EC Swing lesson (it may be some other dance taught).  This will be the usual Friday night dance party, 11415 Foley Boulevard Northwest, Coon Rapids MN 55448, 763.755.3644,  e-mail:  info at cheektocheekdancestudio.com  CHECK THEIR CLASS SCHEDULE.  IT INCLUDES COUNTRY 2-STEP AND PARTNERING CLASSES.

Sat., Nov. 3
10 - 11 am - Rehearsals start for "Nutcracker."  Couples, even fathers/daughters, are needed to do Viennese waltz, swing, tango, or rumba.  Call for details, 952-928-7803, info at onyourtoes.org or retroballroom.com

12 noon - The Hilliers teach waltz at Retro Ballroom, $15 (see above)

1 pm - The Hilliers teach foxtrot at Retro.
