Friday,  September 14th:  Café  Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at 
The Retro Ballroom of On Your  Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), St. 
Louis Park, MN 55416.   Waltz lesson by Monica Mohn 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with 
D.J. David Olson  8:30-midnight.  $8 Café Bailar members/$10 guests.  Free 
passes given  away in drawing at every dance around 10:00pm! 
Friday,  September 14th:  MN  West Coast Swing Dance at B-Dale Club in 
Roseville.  Lesson by Cindy Quinn  & Duayne Wincell 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ: 
Loren Greenberg  8:30-12.  $5/$8. 
Friday,  September 14th:   Latin Dance by DJ Julio Conde at Blue Moon 
Ballroom in Rochester.   7:30pm-12am.  $10. 
Friday,  September 14th:   Cinema Ballroom’s Fall Showcase.  Students of 
Cinema Ballroom, Independent  Instructors, and Amateur couples are all welcome to 
perform.  Tickets are  $15 in advance, $20 at the door.  Call 651-699-5910. 
Friday,  September 14th:   Boogie Wonderland (70’s, 80’s, disco) at Medina 
Ballroom., 9pm. 
Saturday,  September 15th:  USA  Dance’s monthly dance “with something extra 
special” in honor of National  Ballroom Dance Week.  Held in both the Retro 
Ballroom and the On Your  Toes Ballroom, (5810 W. 36th Street), St. Louis Park. 
 (Please use the back  entrance; plenty of parking in both parking lots and 
on both sides of Yosemite  Ave.)  The ballrooms are connected by two large 9 
foot glass French  doors.  You may go in between them both all night!  All 
instructors  are welcome to bring their flyers and business cards to promote 
lessons to  beginner through advanced Ballroom dancers.  For more info, see schedule

8:00-11:00  Regular monthly dance with DJ Erik Pratt.

8:30-9:00  open practice/coaching questions 
9:00-9:30  beginner level swing lesson by James Wood

Saturday,  September 15th:  Four  High School Rock Bands at Blue Moon 
Ballroom in Rochester, 7-11pm.   $8. 
Sunday,  September 16th:   Rebels Swing Club’s west coast swing dance at the 
Eagles Club at 25th & 25th  in Minneapolis.  Lesson, then dancing, 
7:30-10:30pm.  $6 members, $10  nonmembers. 
Wednesday,  September 19th:  USA  Dance Ballroom Club and members perform at 
the Rotunda in Mall of American in  honor of National Ballroom Dance Week, 
7:00-8:00pm.  Performers must sign  liability form by 6:30pm.  If interested in 
performing, contact Yvonne  Viehman by Saturday of this week at danvman at aol.com 
or (763) 553-1202 so she can  put the schedule together.  Bring your own 
music on CDs– labeled.   Studios may bring flyers and business cards for the 
table.  Costumes and  brief bios of your dance partnerships encouraged! 
Thursday,  September 20th:   Dancers Studio (St. Paul) Newcomer Night– an 
evening designed for people new to  partner dancing.  Free intro lessons in 4 
social dance styles at 8:00pm,  followed by an open practice party.  Free! 
Friday,  September 21st:  BACK  TO COUNTRY—BBQ night at the  Retro Ballroom 
of On Your Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street, St. Louis  Park, MN 
55416).  BBQ from 6:30-8:00pm, $5 per person (we will provide  brats, baked beans, 
chips, caramel apple slices, pop/water.)  Then, 30  minute dance lesson and 
open dancing 8:00pm-12:00am, $8 per person.  Wear  your former western wear,

a spectacular show of Am/Am and  Pro/Am dancers, social dance breaks 
throughout the night, hors ‘d oeuvres, and a  Professional show to end the evening.

Sunday,  September 23rd:   Variety dance boat trip (and lessons too) aboard 
the Betsy Northrup, Harriet  Island, Downtown St. Paul– 2:00pm, hosted by Lois

Mondays starting  October 15th, (for 6 weeks):  Lessons by Owen Seeley at the 
Retro Ballroom  of On Your Toes (5810 W 36th Street, St. Louis Park).  Lesson 
will change  each week (includes Night Club 2-Step, Waltz, Cha-Cha, Country 
2-Step, East  Coast Swing, and West Coast Swing) from 7:00-8:00pm, followed by 
open dancing  8:00-9:00pm.  6 weeks for $60 per person, includes lesson and 
dance  party.  Session payment due the first week of class, or pre-payment
