Saturday,  September 1st:  MN  West Coast Swing Dance Club picnic at Phalen 
Park, St. Paul.  More info  soon. 
Saturday,  September 1st:   Metro Variety Dance at The Retro Ballroom of On 
Your Toes School of Dance (5810  W. 36th Street), St. Louis Park.  Argentine 
Tango lesson by Lois Donnay  7:30-8:00pm.  Dance with DJ: David Olson 
8:00-11:00pm .  $7 per  person. 
Friday,  September 7th:   Ballroom dance at Foster’s Dancesport Studio in 
Hopkins.  Tango lesson at  7:30pm, Dancing 8:15-10:30pm.  $10 per person. 
Saturday,  September 8th:   Dance Fest at Foster’s Dancesport Studio (816 1/2 
Mainstreet), Hopkins.  10:00am-4:30pm, $85 for the day or $100 after Sept. 
1st.  Workshops:  10-10:45 Warm up and posture by Lisa Zamarippa, 11-11:45 Latin 
looking lower  half by Tony Karadjov, 12-12:45 Partner like a pro by Jennifer 
Foster,  12:45-1:45 catered lunch (included), 1:45-2:30 Dance like a star, 
putting  pizzazz in your basics by Robert Foster, 3:45-4:30 1001 Dance moves in

Sunday,  September 9th:   Salsa night with Charanga Tropical Band at Varsity 
Theater (1308 4th Street SE,  Mpls, next to Loring Pasta Bar), 9pm, $8 cover 
charge.  (2nd & 4th  Sundays of every month). 
Friday,  September 14th:  Café  Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at 
The Retro Ballroom of On Your  Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), St. 
Louis Park, MN 55416.   Waltz lesson by Monica Mohn 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with 
D.J. David Olson  8:30-midnight.  $8/$10. 
Friday,  September 14th:   Cinema Ballroom’s Fall Showcase.  Students of 
Cinema Ballroom, Independent  Instructors, and Amateur couples are all welcome to 
perform.  Tickets are  $15 in advance, $20 at the door.  Call 651-699-5910. 
Saturday,  September 15th:  USA  Dance’s monthly dance will be held in both 
the Retro Ballroom and the original  On Your Toes Ballroom, (5810 W. 36th 
Street), St. Louis Park.  Lesson  7:00-8:00pm, Dance 8:00-11:00pm.  $10/$7/$5.  
*Watch for details on  this month’s dance!  It’s going to be two ballrooms of 
dancing with mini  lessons in one ballroom.
