Friday,  August 10th:  Café  Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at The 
Retro Ballroom of On Your  Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), St. 
Louis Park, MN 55416.   Foxtrot lesson by Tom & Anne LaTourelle 7:30-8:30pm.  
Dance with D.J.  David Olson 8:30-midnight.  $8/$10. 
Friday,  August 10th:  MN  West Coast Swing Dance at B-Dale Club in 
Roseville.  Lesson by Larry Ablin  and Barb Johnson 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ: Loren 
Greenberg  8:30-12.  $5/$8. 
Friday,  August 10th:   Trailer Trash is playing at Lee’s Liquor Lounge (the 
2nd Friday this  month).  Music starts at 9:15pm. 
Friday,  August 10th:   Alfalpha Males are playing at Medina Entertainment 
Center, 8:30pm. 
Friday,  August 10th:   Latin Dance, DJ: Julio Conde, 7:30pm-midnight.  $10, 
$8, Blue Moon Ballroom  in Rochester.  
Saturday,  August 11th:  SOS  Club’s 1st Annual Baby Boomer’s variety dance 
party– WCS, hustle, cha-cha,  country 2-step, etc. to music from the 1940’s 
to today.  Best hat and best  period attire contests.  $5 advance, $6 at the 
door.  Starts at  8pm.  Located at 1417 Helmo Ave N, Oakdale, MN (651) 735-2400. 
Saturday,  August 11th:   Havin’ a Ball singles dance with City Lights Band, 
at north air banquet hall (KC  Hall): 6831 Highway 65 NE in Fridley. 
763-572-8993.  Hustle lesson at  7:30pm.  Dance 8:30-12:30.  $12 admission.  Hollywood 
Ball-themed  night. 
Sunday,  August 12th:   Salsa night with Charanga Tropical Band at Varsity 
Theater (1308 4th Street SE,  Mpls, next to Loring Pasta Bar), 9pm, $8 cover 
charge.  (2nd & 4th  Sundays of every month). 
Sunday,  August 12th:   Appreciation Dance & Potluck (please bring dish to 
share), 6pm at Blue Moon  Ballroom in Rochester.  Complimentary dancing until 
9:30pm.  Swing,  Latin, and Ballroom music. 
Friday,  August 17th:  Country and  Swing dance at the Retro Ballroom of On 
Your Toes (5810 W. 36th Street) St.  Louis Park!  (3rd Friday of every month).  
Country 2-Step lesson  7:30-8:00pm.  Dance with DJ: Skip Schletz 
8:00pm-12:00am.  $8 per  person. 
Friday,  August 17th:   Cinema Ballroom’s 3rd Anniversary Gala Ball, live 
music by Johnny Owen’s Band,  light hors d’oeuvres, group class, and 
presentation.  Attire– Ballroom fab,  danceable but nice.  $20 in advance, $25 at the 
door. 
Friday,  August 17th:   Sondra Chan of GottaDanceNow will resume her 3rd 
Friday of the month ballroom  practice parties at 98th Street Lifetime Fitness in 
Bloomington, Cha-Cha lesson  at 7pm, Dance 7:30-10pm, open to the public.  $10 
per person. 
Friday,  August 17th:   Latin Dance, 7:30pm-11pm.  $10, $8, Martial Art 
Fitness Center in  Rochester. 
Friday,  August 17th:  Club  Swing by Social Dance Studio at Anew Fitness and 
Spa near Uptown.  (West  Coast Swing), 8pm-12am. 
Saturday,  August 18th:  USA  Dance’s monthly dance will be held at the Retro 
Ballroom of On Your Toes, (5810  W. 36th Street), St. Louis Park.  Tango & 
Bolero lesson by James Wood  7:00-8:00pm, Dance 8:00-11:00pm.  $10/$7/$5. 
Saturday,  August 18th:   Ballroom, Latin, Swing variety dance at Blue Moon 
Ballroom in Rochester,  7:30-11:00pm, $8/$6.
