ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Rush (formerly Rodeo Nightclub) in Cottage Grove has a new general
manager, Frank Renallo. He plans to do a lot to save the nightclub from going
down hill any farther! The floors have recently been sanded. Fridays will have
more country again. K102 might come back. Wednesdays will be “Rodeo Night.
” DJs: Dirty Doug and Gentleman Jim are back. Restrooms have planned
restorations. Smoking will only be allowed outside on the patio. They are hiring
for all positions. A Saturday format will get set. (Suggestions welcome).
Sundays will be “teen night” 16+, doors open at 7pm, free before 8pm with
school ID. Frank welcomes emails at _frank at therushnightclub.com_
(mailto:frank at therushnightclub.com?subject=From%20TriciaDancer.com%20website) .
On a personal note, my mom (Elaine) and Lynn, James, and I all went to the
Rush earlier tonight, (Wednesday). Everyone said the floor was much better
since last week (but it still needs help). The music was good (mostly country
with a few swing, NC 2, Hustle, and Waltzes). Admission was $5 per person.
Pop was $1/ea. The new manager is very open to suggestions and is in need
of word-of-mouth advertising to get people back who don’t attend anymore. He
knows a lot needs to get done to prove the dedication and commitment to the
dancers.
MNWCS Dance Club’s annual board member election meeting will be held Monday,
June 4th at 7:30pm at the B-Dale Club. 20% of members need to be present
for official elections. Snacks and beverages will be provided (suggested
donation $1.00). The people/positions running include:
President: Joannie Taylor
Vice Pres: Dorothy Jones
Secretary: Julie Elholm
Treasurer: Ray Stiff
Membership Director: Elaine Loesch
General: Paul Gorgos, Christine DeGonda, Fred Atkinson
