* Join us tonight (Wednesday, March 28th) at  the Rush Nightclub (formerly 
Rodeo) in Cottage Grove for  Lynn Boergerhoff's birthday!  My mom (Elaine) is 
bringing  a birthday cake!  Music starts out as mostly country, but a variety is 
 mixed in- country 2-step, waltz, hustle, cha-cha, west coast swing, and 
night  club 2-step.  Every time I go, the cover charge changes; a few weeks  ago 
it was $5.
 
 
 
Friday,  March 30th:   Harmonies Dance Center’s last West Coast Swing dance. 
Friday,  March 30th:   Mandragora Orchestra (Tango) dance at Shakopee 
Ballroom.  Tango lesson  7:40-8:30.  Dance 8:30-11:30pm. 
Friday,  March 30th:  Last  dance night at Harmonies Dance Center in 
Bloomington.  Potluck.   Lesson by Jason Barnes 8pm, dance 8:30pm.  Music by Gail 
Zimmerman.   Wrecking ball!  (Lessons will continue through May). 
Friday,  Mar. 30th & Saturday, Mar. 31st:   Brett Michael & Western Breeze 
country dance band is playing at the Red Fox  Tavern in Lakeville. 
Wednesday,  April 4th:   Salsa classes at On Your Toes in St. Louis Park 
taught by the birthday boy:  James Wood.  Beginner level class 7-7:50pm.  
Intermediate level class  8-8:50pm.  $15 per person, or buy 6 for $60 (and have 12 
weeks to use  them).  *Immediately following, dance with us for our grand opening 
of the  new 3,000 square foot Retro Ballroom connected to On Your Toes!  We 
will  play a variety of Salsa, Cha-Cha, and other Latin music from 9-11:00pm.  
I  will bring a birthday cake for James.  Free if you take a lesson, otherwise 
 $5 per person to the studio. 
Friday,  April 6th:   Official Grand Opening dance party of the new 3,000 
square foot Retro Ballroom  of On Your Toes!  Ballroom variety music from 
8:00-11:00pm.  Come see  our new space!  (Enter in back using the new parking lot, 
accessed on  Yosemite from 36th Street).  FMI, contact Tricia.   
Friday,  April 6th:  Bob  Benham’s Little Big Band Ballroom dance at Shakopee 
Ballroom, 8-11pm.  No  lesson. 
Friday,  Apr. 6th & Saturday, Apr. 7th:   Brett Michael & Western Breeze 
country dance band is playing at the Red Fox  Tavern in Lakeville. 
Saturday,  April 7th:   Metro Variety Dance moves to the new Retro Ballroom 
of On Your Toes School of  Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), St. Louis Park.  
7:30-8:00pm Swing lesson by  James & Tricia Wood.  8:30-11:00pm Dance with DJ: David 
Olson.   (Enter in back using the new parking lot, accessed on Yosemite from 
36th  Street).  $7 per person. 
Saturday,  April 7th:   Havin’ a Ball Singles dance at Bloomington VFW post 
1296 (311 W 84th St).   Rumba lesson 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance to City Lights variety 
band  8:30-12:30.  $10 per person.

Scott  Anderson teaches  classes at Harmonies Dance Center in Bloomington on 
Mondays and Tuesdays  (through May), and Wednesdays at the Dancers Studio in 
St. Paul, and Fridays at  the Summit Dance Shoppe in Plymouth.

and Salsa; April 16th:  Swing and Rumba; April 23rd: Waltz; April 30th:

Tango; April 24th: Old  Time Country Waltz; May 1st: Foxtrot 
Wednesdays– April 4th:  Bolero; April 11th: Viennese Waltz; April 18th: NC 2; 
April 25th: Tango; May  2nd: Mambo 
Fridays– April  13th: Beginner Rumba and Waltz; April 27th: Beginner Foxtrot 
and  Swing
