Tonight is Free night for Salsa lessons  at the Retro Ballroom of On Your 
Toes!  Salsa lessons by James Wood (5810 W  36th Street, St. Louis Park).  
Beginner lesson 7:00pm; Intermediate 8:00pm;  No partner required.  (952) 928-7803

Friday,  June 22nd:  Bob  Benham’s Little Big Band at Shakopee Ballroom.  No 
lesson, just dancing  8-11pm. 
Fri  & Sat, June 22nd & 23rd:   Marty & Carla (old time, polka, swing, etc.) 
will be playing at the Moose in  Maplewood, 7:30-11:00pm. 
Friday,  June 22nd:  MN  West Coast Swing Dance at B-Dale Club in Roseville.  
Lesson by Soleman  Krebs 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ: Loren Greenberg 
8:30-12.   $5/$8. 
Friday,  June 22nd:   Ballroom dance at Foster’s Dancesport Studio (816 1/2 
Mainstreet),  Hopkins.  8:00 Samba lesson, dance until 11:30pm.  $8/$5.  FMI,

Saturday,  June 23rd:  Café  Bailar’s 2nd Annual HAWAIIAN-themed dance party 
at the Retro Ballroom of On Your  Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), 
St. Louis Park, MN 55416.   Hawaiian-style lesson by James & Tricia Wood 
7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with  D.J. David Olson 8:30-midnight.  $8/$10.  Male and Female 
 Hawaiian/tropical costume contest. 
Saturday,  June 23rd:   Dance, Peter Solo & the D’Sievers– swing, rhythm, 
jazz band, 7:30pm-12am,  $10/$8 at Blue Moon Ballroom in Rochester. 
Sunday,  June 24th:   Marty & Carla (big band, ‘50s, Fox Trot, Waltz, Polka, 
Latin) are playing at  the Hopkins VFW.  Free, the last Sunday of the month 
through  August). 
Sunday,  June 24th:   Rebels Swing Dance Club’s 11th anniversary dance at 
Medina Ballroom.  West  Coast Swing workshop by Wendy Miller at 6:00pm.  Dance 
from  7:00-10:30pm.  $10, or $15 nonmember. 
Every  Sunday at Cinema  Ballroom: Ballroom Dancing to Jerry O’Hagan 
(w/Charmin Michelle)  Orchestra.  7-10pm.  $12 per person, or $8 with college ID. 
Thur-Sat,  June 28-30th:  A  new country music weekend:  _Moondance Jammin’ 
Country_ (http://www.jammincountry.com/)  in Walker,  MN.  The line up 
includes: Deana Carter, Asleep at the Wheel, Danielle  Peck, Katrina Elam, Blue 
County, Terri Clark, Bomshel, Dierks Bentley, Randy  Travis, the Grascals, SheDaisy, 
 Big and Rich with Cowboy Troy.   $80/$100.  (I hyperlinked this to their

Fri  & Sat, June 29th & 30th:  The  Darlene Nelson Band (Rockabilly, Country, 
and ‘50s) is playing at the Red Fox  Tavern in Lakeville, 9:00pm. 
Saturday,  June 30th:   Dance, Juke Box Heroes– classic rock and oldies band, 
7:30pm-12am, $10/$8, Blue  Moon Ballroom in Rochester.
