Thursday,  June 7th:   Babalu Restaurant in Mpls is hosting an Argentine 
night.  Lois Donnay will  teach an Argentine Tango lesson from 7-8:00pm.  
Mandragora Tango Orchestra  will play from 8-11:00pm.  Wine tasting of Argentine 
wines, and specials on  Argentine foods. 
Friday,  June 8th:  Café  Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at On Your 
Toes School of Dance  (5810 W. 36th Street), St. Louis Park, MN 55416.  
Bachata and Rumba lesson  by Eliecer Ramirez-Vargas 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with D.J. 
David Olson  8:30-midnight.  $8/$10. 
Friday,  June 8th:   Marcene & The Honky Tonk Band (country-rock) at Shakopee 
Ballroom.  No  lesson.  Dance 8pm-12am. 
Friday,  June 8th:  Christine  Rosholt and band are playing at Dakota County 
Music Café in Burnsville,  9pm-12am. 
Friday,  June 8th:  MN  West Coast Swing Dance at B-Dale Club in Roseville.  
Lesson by John &  Sue Matuszewski 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ: Loren Greenberg 
8:30-12.   $5/$8. 
Saturday,  June 9th:  On  Your Toes School of Dance Spring Ballroom dance 
showcase, held in the Retro  Ballroom.  6:00pm– light food, dance show, and open 
dancing.  $20 in  advance or $25 at the door.  Theme: TV and Movies.  Call the

Saturday,  June 9th:  High  Contrast– classic rock, swing, light jazz band at 
Blue Moon Ballroom in  Rochester.  7:30pm-12am.  $10/$8. 
Saturday,  June 9th:   Tango Society dance at Foster’s Dancesport Studio in 
Hopkins.  8pm lesson,  9pm dance. 
Saturday,  June 9th:   Minneapolis Mosaic Festival of Arts will have Lois 
Donnay and other tango  dancers performing and teaching at the Folk Circle (9th & 
Hennepin) between  8:45-9:15.

8 week  Beginner Ballroom group classes! 
Session I  (7:00pm) $80 per person, or $15 per walk-in 
Session II  (8:00pm) $80 per person, or $15 per walk-in 
Thursdays:  June 7, June 14, June 21, June 28, July 5, July 19, July 26, Aug. 
2 
(Spend 2  weeks per style of dance)- 
Session  I:  Waltz, Night Club 2-Step, Cha-Cha, Merengue 
Session  II:  Foxtrot, Swing, Tango, Rumba 
You may sign  up for either, or both sessions.

Gotta Dance  Now, directed by Sondra Chan, offers ballroom group classes at 
several Life Time  Fitness locations around the Twin Cities, including Eagan, 
Eden Prairie,  Champlin, Lakeville, Maple Grove, and more.  For more info,

Tuesdays in  June: Rebels Swing Dance Club is offering:  Intermediate level 
drop-in West Coast Swing classes at the Eagles Club in  Minneapolis 
7:00-8:00pm.  Beginner level 4-week series will be  8-9:30pm.  $10 per lesson per Rebels 
member, or $12 per lesson per  non-member.  *Note, beginner level must commit 
to whole 4-week  series.
