Hello Dancers,
Happy Dancing,
Tricia Wood, 612-600-5129
I usually send out my weekly dance update on Wednesdays, however there is a
funeral announcement that needs to get out by Tuesday- Bob's wife, owner of
Medina Ballroom. See below.
Also, I finally had 4 hours to dedicate to uploading pictures from our
wedding dance onto my website! Visit _www.triciadancer.com_
(http://www.triciadancer.com) to see pictures!
This Wednesday we're offering FREE SALSA dance lessons at On Your Toes in
St. Louis Park. Every 6 weeks we offer one free night. 7pm for beginners.
8pm for intermediate/advanced. Taught by James Wood. For directions, visit
_www.onyourtoes.org_ (http://www.onyourtoes.org) .
Wife of Bob Raskob, owner of the Medina Ballroom’s wife died. There is
another visitation for Geri Tues., Jan. 22nd at 2pm, and the funeral is Tuesday,
Jan. 23rd at 3pm, at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus in Medina. Details
were in Sunday’s Star Tribune obituary. I received a copy of it from
Betty.
Twin Cities Rebels Swing Dance Club has a temporary location starting in
April: The Minneapolis Eagles Club at 25th & 25th. There is a cash bar,
non-smoking, and a fenced-in parking lot. Harmonies Dance Center will continue to
look for another location in the Bloomington area. Then, Rebels may move
back there if or when they’re open again.
Thursday, January 25th: As many of you know, I grew up in Bloomington and
Olson Middle School (7th & 8th graders) have been learning Waltz, Foxtrot,
and Lindy swing. James and I (Tricia) are doing a few Smooth & Rhythm dance
demos, as well as judging their student dance competition, starting at 10:15am
(and lasting up to 2 hours). If you are available to perform (no costumes
necessary) and stay to judge the competition with James and Tricia Wood, please
email me or Yvonne Viehman at danvman at aol.com for directions and more info.
