Fri., Jan. 12

8:30-11:30 - "Mandragora" (good for dancing and listening) plays at Shakopee  Ballroom - Arg. tango, Latin, swing; CD variety music will be played during breaks by Lois Donnay.  Her Arg. tango lesson starts at 7:30, not 7:00,  $8.  Please come out for at least awhile to support this family-owned big beautiful ballroom, and then you can still attend another venue for the end of the evening. 2400 E. Take 169 south over the river, exit on the" Shakopee/Hwy. 101" exit and go west, pass Valley Fair Amusement Park on your right, and then turn left onto dark Shenandoah Rd., go one block to ballroom on the corner of Shenandoah and 4th.www.shakopeeballroom.com.

12 noon - 1 pm - Int/Adv. Cha Cha 4-week session starts at Cheek to Cheek, 11415 Foley Blvd, Coon Rapids,  Dates: Jan 13,20,27 & Feb 3 2007,  $40 per person, by Monica Mohn,
612-874-0747.  She also starts teaching at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church on Knox Av.in south Mpls. this month!! 


Aqua Gliders Ballroom Dance Club (must bring a partner) also meets at St. Richard's, Richfield which I forgot to mention in my last letter.

2-6 - Yes, there is definitely a free variety dance @ Medina.   EVERYONE IS WELCOME even though it's in honor of Betty Ernst's birthday.

3-7 -Mostly West Coast Swing at Dean's Tavern to "Who Nu" (James Brown, Stevie Wonder, MoTown, R&B greats), 1986 Rice St (about 1/2 mi south of  Hwy 36),  Free, small buffet , but buy some drinks.
