Fri-Sat-Sun,  Aug. 3-5th:   Canadian Days in Little Canada, MN.  Dancer Joy 
Kokaisel is organizing the  car show Sat. 12-5pm.  JJ Zydeco Paydirt Band will 
play Cajun & Zydeco  dance music from 5-7pm, followed by the Christie Love 
Band (formerly Boogie  Wonderland) 7:15-11:15pm, then fireworks.  (Rockin’ 
Hollywoods are there  Friday night 7:15-11:15pm). 
Friday,  August 3rd:   Disco-themed dance party at the Retro Ballroom of On 
Your Toes (5810 W. 36th  Street), St. Louis Park.  Hustle lesson by Jeff 
Nehrbass 7:30-8:30pm.   Dance 8:30-11:00pm.  Disco-attire encouraged but not 
required.  $10,  or $8 if you SHOW any current dance club membership card. 
*New, every  Friday:   Neisen’s in Savage is having an All Country night.  
Jamie Black will be  teaching line dance lessons every week.  Doors open at 7pm.

and ‘50s) is playing at the Fridley  VFW (1040 Osborne Rd NE), 8:30-12:30. 
Saturday,  August 4th:   Metro Variety Dance at The Retro Ballroom of On Your 
Toes School of Dance (5810  W. 36th Street), St. Louis Park.  Lesson 
7:30-8:00pm.  Dance with DJ:  David Olson 8:00-11:00pm .  $7 per person. 
Saturday,  August 4th:   Ballroom, Latin, Swing variety dance at Blue Moon 
Ballroom in Rochester,  7:30-11:00pm, $8/$6. 
Tuesday,  August 7th:   Grand Opening and ribbon cutting of the Classic 
Ballroom, co-owned by Paul  Botes, Donna Edelstein, Jay Larson, and Pauline 
Sanchez, from  11:30am-1:00pm.  See the Mayor of Plymouth, dance demonstrations,  
refreshments, and prize drawings.  Four Seasons Mall, 4228 Lancaster Lane N  (at

music by Johnny Owen’s Band,  light hors d’oeuvres, group class, and

door. 
Friday,  August 17th:   Sondra Chan of GottaDanceNow will resume her 3rd 
Friday of the month ballroom  practice parties at 98th Street Lifetime Fitness in 
Bloomington, 7-10pm, open to  the public.
