Beyond  Ballroom Dance Company presents “Spinning Wheel” at the Southern 
Theater (1420  Washington Ave), Mpls.  April  26-29, May 3-6.   Thurs-Sat 8pm; 
Saturday also 5pm; Sunday 7pm.  Tickets $25 (opening night  is pay-as-able).  
$50 for May 5th, 8pm benefit show featuring a special  performance by Sally 
Rousse of the James Sewell Ballet and Mariusz Olszewki,  champagne reception and

Friday,  April 27th:   MNWCS Club dance at B-Dale Club (2100 N Dale St), 
Roseville.  Lesson by  Loel & Jean Brandstrom 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ: Loren 
Greenberg  8:30-midnight.  $5/$8. 
Friday,  April 27th:   Benefit dance to raise money for the kids at St. Jude’
s Children Research  Hospital, held at the Holiday Day Inn (1201 W. 94th 
Street), Bloomington.   8:30pm-1:00am.  $35 Latin dinner tickets 9-10pm.  $10 Latin

Friday,  April 27th:  Don  Riggs Big Band ballroom dance at Shakopee 
Ballroom.  8-11:30pm, no  lesson. 
Friday,  April 27th:   Ballroom variety dance at Foster’s Dancesport Studio, 
Hopkins 8:00-12:00.   $8/$6.  FMI contact Dan Lai at (612) 720-1587. 
Friday,  April 27th:   Weekly Friday ballroom practice party 9-10pm at 
Dancers Studio, St. Paul.   $15, lessons at 7pm & 8pm. 
Friday  & Saturday, April 27th & 28th:   Coulee Country Dancefest- LaCrosse, 
WI– Friday pizza party and dance.   Saturday workshops, dance demos, open 
dancing in the evening.  Pattern  partners and line dancers.  All star banquets on

Friday  & Saturday, April 27th & 28th:   Swing Dance America (formerly the 
Midwest Swing Challenge in Oshkosh, WI), now  renamed and held at the Milwaukee 
Hilton City Center Hotel.  2 ballrooms, 5  restaurants, and an indoor water 
park.  www.swingdanceamerica.com.   Hotel $99/night.  Competition, convention, 
and social dancing weekend  package $90 before April 15th, $105 after. 
Saturday,  April 28th:  Café  Bailar (Ballroom & Latin variety) dance at The 
Retro Ballroom of On Your  Toes School of Dance (5810 W. 36th Street), St. 
Louis Park, MN 55416.   Rumba lesson by Scott Anderson 7:30-8:30pm.  Dance 
8:30-midnight.   $8/$10.  (Park in back, and walk right in!) 
Saturday,  April 28th:   Alfalpha Males (country & variety) at the Eagles 
Club (25th & 25th) in  Mpls.  612-729-4469.  Donations welcome. 
Saturday,  April 28th:  TGIS  (singles dance) at Medina Ballroom. 
Sunday,  April 29th:  West  Coast Swing variety dance at the new 3,000 square 
foot Retro Ballroom in St.  Louis Park!  West Coast Swing lesson 6:30-7:00pm. 
 Dance  7:00pm-10:00pm.  $8 per person.  The Retro Ballroom is connected to 
On  Your Toes studio.  For your convenience, use the new (with lights) parking  
lot on the backside of the strip mall.  If that gets full, use the regular

Sunday,  April 29th:   Marty & Carla (big band, ‘50s, Fox Trot, Waltz, Polka, 
Latin) are playing at  the Hopkins VFW.  Free, the last Sunday of the month 
through  August).
