Wednesday,  April 18th:   Ballroom night at Medina Entertainment Center.  
FMI, call  763-479-6661. 
Friday,  April 20th:   Country and Swing variety dance at the new 3,000 
square foot Retro Ballroom of  On Your Toes in St. Louis Park!  Country 2-Step 
lesson by Owen and Diane  Seeley 7:30-8:00pm.  Dance with DJ: Skip Schletz 
8:00pm-12:00am.  $8  per person.  The Retro Ballroom is connected to On Your Toes 
studio.   For your convenience, use the new (with lights) parking lot on the 
backside of  the strip mall.  If that gets full, use the regular lot on the west 
side of  the building.  Plan for this Country and Swing dance to be the 3rd 
Friday  of every month!  FMI, contact Tricia Wood. 
Friday,  April 20th:   Ballroom dancing starting at 7pm with a Costa Rican 
Latin Band at Shakopee  Ballroom, followed with Pimienta Negra starting at 10pm.

Friday,  April 20th:   Ballroom variety “Practice Dance” by Sondra Chan, 
lesson 7-7:30pm, dance  7:30-10:00pm at Lifetime Fitness at 98th Street in 
Bloomington.  $10  includes lesson, dance, and beverages.  3rd Friday of the month.

This  Saturday, April 21st from 5:30-6:30pm, Esther Don (the lady who wrote 
the US  ISTD syllabus book for ballroom dancing) will be teaching a Silver 
level group  lesson at The Retro Ballroom of On Your Toes (5810 W. 36th St, St. 
Louis Park,  55416).  The lesson is $15 per person and will cover waltz and  
foxtrot.  No partner required.  Walk-ins welcome.  (952)  928-7803. 
Saturday,  April 21st:   Havin’ a Ball singles dance at Coon Rapids American 
Legion post 334.   7:30-8:30 Night Club 2-Step lesson by Caroline Olson.  
8:30-12:30 dance to  the Rockin’ Hollywoods.  $10 per person. 
Saturday,  April 21st:  USA  Dance (formerly USABDA) at Foster’s Dancesport 
Studio in Hopkins.  Lesson  7-8pm, Dance 8-11pm.  $10/$7/$5. 

Saturday,  April 21st:   Black Dog Tango night, organized by Lois Donnay.  
They have a temporary  location change due to the St. Paul Art Crawl going on.

Saturday,  April 21st:   Dancing Hearts Under the Stars, 7-11pm at the 
Historic Triune Hall (1898  Iglehart Ave), St. Paul (one block north of Marshall 
Ave, two blocks west of  Fairview Ave).  East Coast Swing, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Salsa, 
Foxtrot.   Dance floor and sound system.  Ongoing lessons for beginner

Sunday,  April 22nd:   Charanga Salsa dancing at the Varsity Theater (1308 
4th St SE, Mpls) the 2nd  & 4th Sundays of every month, 9pm, (18+), $8 cover.  
Sunday,  April 22nd:  Tea  Dance & Brunch with USA Dance-MN at the Lafayette 
Club (2800 Northview Rd,  Wayzata– Mtka Beach, MN 55361).  11am-4pm.  Tickets 
for sale in  advance: $35 for brunch (11-12:30) and dance, or $20 
(1:00-4:00pm) dance-only  payable at the door.  Semi-formal to formal attire.  For brunch, 
must  order ticket from Dede Ouren by April 16th: (651) 452-4340.  Tickets 
will  also be for sale at the next Café Bailar dance (Apr. 13th). 
Sunday,  April 22nd:  Twin  Cities Rebels Swing Dance Club at the Eagles Club 
(25th & 25th) in  Minneapolis.  7-7:30 lesson by Kathy Compo, 7:30-10:30pm 
dance.  DJ  for the evening is Gail Zimmerman.  $6 members, $10 nonmembers. 
Beyond  Ballroom Dance Company presents “Spinning Wheel” at the Southern 
Theater (1420  Washington Ave), Mpls.  April  26-29, May 3-6.   Thurs-Sat 8pm; 
Saturday also 5pm; Sunday 7pm.  Tickets $25 (opening night  is pay-as-able).  
$50 for May 5th, 8pm benefit show featuring a special  performance by Sally 
Rousse of the James Sewell Ballet and Mariusz Olszewki,  champagne reception and
