[MNDancers] Floor at 42nd

The Fifth Friday dance is tonight, and this is the 7th year that I have been
holding dances at the 42nd. Your continued support of my efforts to bring
you a nice dance are very, very important to me.  

As some of you know, this July's dance had problems because of the floor.
The warm weather, high humidity and a previous party combined to create a
sticky floor, very difficult for the dancers. I complained to the ballroom
owner, and he assured me that the floor was about to be refinished. When I
called to verify last week, he told me that the floors were done. 

When I went to set up today I found this was not true - only the entryway
was finished. Of course no one could be more disappointed than me,
especially since your calls and emails indicate that tonight there would be
a great turnout. I decided to going ahead with the dance - the only choice I
could really make.

So I hope that you will still come, and know that I will do everything in my
power to make the dance great. I am confident that the floor will be fine -
it is nice now, and I will try to keep it that way through the evening.
However, if you find that it is not acceptable, I will refund your
admission.

Again, I really appreciate your attendance and your support of these dances,
and of me, over the years. I truly believe that our great variety of dances
is responsible for our wonderful dance community, and I remain committed to
helping providing them.
